The full version of the game comes out on the 19th of November. Meanwhile, the Beta should be available a couple of weeks prior to that.

In this blog we look at some of the key improvements that have been made to the match engine with regards to defensive play.

Sports Interactive claim that defenders will be a lot more efficient against intelligent attacking play.

Their decision making will improve when dealing with the attacking phases of play.

For example, defenders will have better judgment when to stick with a player or drop deep. They will look for off-the-ball runs as well as come towards the ball depending on the situation.

More tactical fouls will be a part of the game as well.

Overall, it seems that there will be a considerable change to the defensive AI.

It will be interesting to see how these changes affect the user experience.

Defensive intelligence was one area that needed improving from the last edition of the game and the fans will be delighted to see that SI have delivered.
