Jon’s — Ultimate National Challenge — Cameroon

The list below is what I need to win and what I have already won so far;

The Copa America

The Oceania Nations Cup

The Caribbean Championships*

The Gold Cup

The World Cup – 2014 England

The Confederations Cup – 2013 England

The Olympics*

The African Nations

The Asian Cup

The European Championships – 2012 England

The Four Associations Tournament

As you can see there is two cups with a * on the end, they are in place because they aren’t a cup I have to win to complete it. If I get the chance I shall go for it but I will not be searching for the job.

Hello guys and of course Ana,

As you no I am the manager of Cameroon and the World Cup Qualifying campaign and we have a fairly easy group which as of course is good for myself.

Sorry for such a boring start but nothing happened between the months of December to May which did take rather long to sim through was getting a tad boring!

So I will jump straight into the team picked and who we are playing, we have got three matches and we kick start the campaign away to Botswana who are ranked 179th in the world, secondly 8 days later we fly home to play Angola who are ranked 73rd in the world and lastly Camerroon will be up agaisnt Comoros who are ranked 148th in the world.

Cameroon coach Jon Crosby named his squad for the matches against Botswana, Angola, and Comoros. Critics suggest that the decision to select a squad of foreign-based players could have a negative ramifications for the Cameroonian domestic divisions, as well as for its players and the fan.

Racing Club youngster Thierry Bayiha could be in line to make his first appearance for Cameroon after the right-back impressed Crosby in recent weeks.

Crosby’s selection certainly appears to underline a lack of talent within Cameroon currently, with all the players in the latest squad playing their club football outside the country.

Crosby also decided to recall a number of familiar faces, including Aurelien Chedjou, Armand Ella, Modeste M’bami and Achille Emana, who had all been left out of previous squads.

French central defender Teddy Mezague, who is eligible for Cameroon, is named  in the squad and could make his first appearance.

Game 1 — Botswana

According to «The Batswana Football Free Press»

«Cameroon have got to be favourites for this one. This Botswana side just don’t impress me and I think Cameroon should win this comfortably»

Match report —

Botswana 0 — 3 Cameroon (World Cup Quals (AFR) 2nd  Rnd Grp 10)

Cameroon enjoyed near domination over a distinctly average Botswana side at National stadium this afternoon. A brace from from Jean-Marie Ngah helped Cameroon to victory.

Striker Vincent Aboubakar gave Cameroon the lead with a magnificient lob over the keeper in the 26th minute. Midfielder Jean-Marie Ngah doubled Cameroon’s lead with an effort from the edge of the area on 66 minutes.

There were no prizes for guessing who completed the rout on 90 minutes as that man Ngah popped up again with a placed shot. It was a superb solo effort and Ngah looked delighted.

Second match —

According to «The Cameroonian Football Express»

«I believe Cameroon have enough quality to see of Angola.»

Cameroon 2 — 0 Angola (World Cup Quals (AFR) 2nd  Rnd Grp 10)

Cameroon enjoyed near domination over a distinctly average Angola side at Stade Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo this afternoon.

Cameroon finally took the lead when winger Aboubakar Oumarou scored a curling shot on 57 minutes. Strong centre-back Sebastien Bassong finally rounded off their victory on 65 minutes with a good header from just inside the six yard box.

Third match —

According to «The Cameroonian Football Express»

«Comoros are going to really struggle today and I can’t see them being able to contain Cameroon.»

Cameroon 1 — 0 Comoros (World Cup Quals (AFR) 2nd  Rnd Grp 10)

Match report —

Cameroon 1 — 0 Comoros (World Cup Quals (AFR) 2nd  Rnd Grp 10)

Cameroon were almost embarrassed by Comoros in the World Cup African Qualifying Section Round Group 10 match at Stade Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo.

With the game nearing an end, it was Vincent Aboubakar who scored a well executed finish to give Cameroon the lead on 89 minutes.

Cameroon had a number of attempts at goal but their profligacy meant they didn’t score as many as they maybe would have liked.

Sorry everyone for such a rubbish update! It’s been very time consuming over the last few days so no video highlights for today.

Good results. Angola can be a pain in the butt but you beat them. I can imagine how you felt against Comoros until the 89th minute when you scored. You should qualify for the world cup easily. Good luck.
