Hey everyone, i’m Jake and this is my Varbergs BOIS story.
Before I get into things, just want to say thanks to Johnny and Darren for ‘promotion’ from the forums. Really means alot that I can post along side such great stories as yourselves and others :). Mine, along with Jon (although starting a new story) have been down there writing for the best part of two months. Great place to start and they are always pretty supportive of any new ones floating about.

The first post is a bit of a dud, but I have been told that its a half decent read. I know its 15+ pages long (which honestly I wouldnt bother with ;)), but its there purely if you want to know how I got to this stage in my save.

Anyway on with introductions and the story I am going to be posting is obviously something that means alot to me. I am half Swedish and my mum’s side of the family are from Varberg. Have a holiday home over there which we go to pretty much every summer so I’m pretty familiar with the surroundings and stuff. Not only that, but their current stadium ‘Påskbergsvallen’ was designed by my late granddad so that adds to the sentimental value of the save.

This post is going to be quite long so ill break it up into a few pages to soften the burden:

Excellent post Jake, it is long but I loved reading it. This is one of my favourite stories from the forum and I am proud to have it on the main site now. Now give us that bloody Champions League! :)

Feels like I’ve read this before, but you seem to have done a good summary, will be good to keep track of your progress in the Champions League from here, only goal to reach now is success in Europe! :D

Good luck Jake, Liverpool will be a good challenge for your team

Wow,you are really great,never see your story(sorry)
like your writting style,clean and neat
and just want to ask,how can you be stay on one club more than 10 years?(i can’t stay on the same club more than 5 years)

Great to see you posting on the main site Jake, your story in the forums was great and I’m sure it’ll be even better now. I didn’t know you’d won the Europa League, so congratulations on that :) Looking forward to seeing how you get on the Champions League, good luck!

Woot, onto the main site! I’m familiar with the progress, but that was a great summary of your success (I really like the «before» and «after» shots)! Can’t wait to see where you take the team from here, and I’m looking forward to some Champion’s League glory!

Welcome to the team Jake, great to have you on board. A very nice introduction that will get everyone up t speed too. You have a promising squad and amazing history since taking over. You’ve transformed the club in style. The home grown players rule seems to have held you back a little, but with time the Champions League will be yours! ;)

  I would put it more down to my players than myself, they have been brilliant. Especially with this Home Grown rule..

Hi Jake, You have done an outstanding job with this team. It’s pretty cool your grandfather designed the stadium for this team. It’s amazing how much patience you had with your team. By the way, what year are you in?

Congrats on making it to the main site Jake and although i didnt read it the post to every little detail i extensively read through every page :) and from what I can see its a very good story and i cant wait to read your future posts. You have also managed something i havent done since fm 2007 which is make it to 2025

  Haha, its been a long, hard slog but I am finally through most of it. Might be somewhere around 2040 before I get to win the Champions League..

      Probably going to be closer to 2040 I think ;).
      
      Haha, well I’ll be trying to win the world cup with Sweden..
      Have to also:
      — Get over 19 league titles
      — Get over 15 league cups
      — Max out facilities at the club
      — Leave the club in a state of European dominance.
      
      We are quite a way off all of that yet so there are still atleast 10 seasons in it yet!

One of my favourite stories so I know whats going on!! :)

Welcome to the main site, I’ve seen your forum story, it was very popular :D

You have brought this squad a long way, last year you even had European success, time for Champions League glory :). If your games against Barcelona were a knockout round, you would’ve won!
