Stromson — Helios Kharkiv: Season 2 Mini Update

We’re going to do a mini update today, because that’s how I roll when I barely have time to play the game. I’ve managed to play a whopping five games since my last update, and so there isn’t a whole heck of a lot to tell. As a quick recap — We’re in the Premyer Liha, we’re favored to finish dead last (16th), and I’m pretty sure the water in our stadium is 95% rust, 5% H2O.

In fact, I’m going to go ahead and blame that water for our most recent run of results:

Okay, so that’s not quite what I’d had in mind following our killer start to the season. It isn’t entirely unexpected, but it still doesn’t make me feel very warm and fuzzy. Thankfully the news isn’t all doom and gloom:

We’re not last!

Unfortunately not all is well in the land of Helios Kharkiv. Throughout our losing streak we’ve taken quite a few knocks, and I’m now struggling to fill out a starting eleven. It’s looking increasingly like a few youth players may be getting premature call ups, simply so we can field a squad!

Alas, too many injuries! Thankfully I’m not one to be bothered by such technicalities, and we’ll play with 9 men if necessary! In the meantime, thank you all for your continued support and…readership? Until next time!

Unlucky Stromo, bad form but hopefully you can get over the injuries and recover your form. Good luck, and at least you’re not last!

    Hey Stromson
Unlucky, but at least you are not last, not yet at least. Hopefully you can turn things around. Good luck.

That’s a tough start mate and really not helped by a plague of injuries. Hopefully they may clear up sooner or later in which case your form can pick up pace. I hope so anyway, good luck.

Sides newly promoted to a country’s top flight, regardless of which country, are pretty much bound to struggle. Even if morale is low though, it’s still possible to grind out a few important results, possibly even get a small unbeaten run going, so even if it looks pretty unlikely at times that you can escape, you can…I managed it not too long ago with Leicester in EPL, 5 games to go was still 4 points inside the relegation zone, somehow managed to get 7 points from the last 5 games and finish 16th, though I did have an advantage of massively superior goal difference to a few clubs around me….so even if you find you’re losing a lot, it will help just to try to keep the score lines low, and it looks like on that account you’re not actually doing too badly.

Anyway, best of luck for the rest of the season, I’m looking forward to the next update.

No worries mate, just need to keep your heads above the water and hope 2 other teams drown first :D, too bad you have a lot of injuries, hopefully you can get some back to help out

Rough start there but that wasn’t totally unexpected. It’s a new league and that’s always tough to handle, especially if injuries disrupt things. Anyway, I’m optimistic and I think that you will turn things around fairly soon. Good luck!

    Tough going!!

Its always difficult finding that transition to the big league, especially with your mini injury crisis!

But hopefully things will trurn around so the best of luck!! :)
