Some better news…

Hi everyone,

I have some better news, after recieving help from Laxeyman, Alex and Darren, I am now able to watch my players play matches so my problem is now fixed. All i had to do was to delete the settings folder, thank you to Laxeyman for suggesting this and Alex for explaining it even deeper!

However, there is a problem still, in the process, i somehow managed to affect my Bury save which resulted in the save now not loading. None of the 3 rolling files also load which is a mystery. Therefore I have no choice but to start a new save…

I am almost devasted that I will no longer will be able to play my Bury save, i was sooo addicted to it!

There is only around 5-6 months left untill FM 12 is introduced — time goes so fast! So i have taken that time into account and decided the best options of a new team are:

Bolton Wanderes — Nearby team to where I live, good foundation for success. Similar, if not slightly better to my where bury save became corrupt

Blackpool — Very similar to my Bury team, just promoted through play offs, not a great squad, small stadium, weak training facilities.

I have also chosen these two teams because they are very similar to my Bury save, and also I like them in real life.

And also: Arsenal — favourite team.

I really wanted to do the Ultimate European Challenge, but there isn’t enough time I feel.

So, please pick a team out of the three listed and I will choose the most chosen.

Blackpool would be my first choice. The second would be Arsenal.

Make that two for Blackpool, I really want to see someone win the title with them. I’m just glad your able to play again but a real shame to lose your Bury save. There seems to be a lot of these problems around, its starting to make me worry!!

Count me in for Blackpool too! I started writing a story about them in the forum at the beginning of the year but started off the UEC around the same time so never got much further with it!

Your old saves only stopped loading after you reinstalled fm. I wouldn’t have thought this would corrupt the save files themselves. Have you reinstalled all the patches as well?

I’m sorry about all the trouble you have had I know exactly what that feels like. All that effort then suddenly all gone in a blink of an eye. I’m happy that your laptop is at least working again and my choice would be Blackpool also.

Good news Sayam, shame about your Bury save, but I reckon Blackpool would make an interesting game.

Hi Sayam,

Seems like Blackpool will be the choice. They offer a bigger challenge than Bolton. I hope you will bring them to glory.

I would choose Blackpool, or maybe you could start the Ultimate European Challenge game. Your choice though.

little bit of dissapointment because i just recently enjoy your Bury save,hope the problem resolved,btw this is the current vote:
Blackpool:12(plus one from me)
Arsenal:1
UEC:1
Bolton:0

Yeah, it’s terrible the feeling, almost devestation! I was at the peak of my Bury career also!

  So do you definitely have the latest patch installed. Because if not that would explain why your Bury game doesn’t load.
