Real Union / Brazil — Update, 17 Into La Liga

Hi everyone!

Well my team (Spain) manged to just about qualify for the last 16 stage along with a couple more who seemed to really struggle in the group stage!

We meet Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and hopefully we can win, a tough game but I am sure we all want to see that smugness wiped of his face!!

But good to luck to who ever you are supporting !

—————————————————————————————————————————————

Ok have a really big post! As you know we are in alot of competitions this season, some have been played some left but I will tell you everything that has happened so here we go! :

Spanish Super Cup

So for those who are bad at maths (like me!) we just manged to retain our trophy with a 4-3 win over Atletico Madid, Balotelli my old friend scored twice with yes you guessed it Aguero scoring at Irureta park.

But Atutxa scored two fantastic freekicks the latter one being in the dying moments securing us our first trophy of the season. For those who didnt know the Spanish Super Cup is contested against the winner of La Liga, and the winner of the Spanish cup.

European Super Cup

So next was the European super cup, with the winner of the Champions league meeting the winner of the UEFA cup. As Genoa won the UEFA trophy we would meet them at the Stade Louis for the final!

A really comfortable win, and I was a little surprised as I expected a little more from them. We scored twice in the second half with Englishman Peter Lowe scoring the first and Flavio the second.

We should have had a few more and their keeper was the best player which shows how much domination we had. But another first in our club history and another trophy for me this season!!

Club World Championship

Ok, I wont lie I really have no idea how the teams are drawn for this competition. Am guessing like the winners of the Asian cup and African cup etc are thrown together but am not 100% sure.

As you would expect we sailed into the final and the results were very one sided. I didnt bother posting them but lets just say our route to the final was very easy.

We met a team called Sundowns which I think is quite a beatiful name! But my Union, almost B team took them apart. My only two reconised players of David and Castaignos started and score three times between them, whilst home grown Simon scored the fourth.

I was pleased to win the trophy even if it was very one sided and already have three trophies this season!!

La Liga Results And Table

So as expected we continue to dominate in the league.  A couple of draws but for the most part alot of really comfortable wins.

Unbeaten start with the best attack and the best defence. Real Madrid are 7 points behind with Zaragoza a  further away 2 points.

Champions League And Spanish Cup

I was pretty angry with the draw as you can  see we had both Tottenham and FC Bayern in our group two very tough teams.

Things looked good until the away defeat in Germany then a draw in London which put us into the knockout stage. Bisaku’s late header meaning we would meet Juventus!

Not the easiest run we have had but I still have never failed to qualify from the group stage! Tough game next but have beaten them before so remain confident.

So still in the early stages but a 7-0 win in total and we play Murcia, who are a very difficult side to play. So another tough game for my Union side.

Player Ratings

So for the first time in a while Castaignos does not top the list, age is finally catching up with my dutch man. However Velasco (My Puyol!) is rolling back the years with some fine displays!

Lowe is having his best season in our midfield and Atuxta and Flavio have also began the season well.

David is still our best goal getter scoring 13 times in 24 games.

Ok so have almost finished!

Just have to show you the qualfying results for the 2026 world cup finals!!

A really solid start. 4 wins from 4 games 13 scored and only one conceeded.

Vandinho is my player at Real Union! And to be honest am pretty biased towards my squad players with Gauchinho, Flavio and Vandinho starting every game!

Felix is also a fantastic player currently at Stuttgart, he plays in the Castaignos role and is so far doing a fantastic job!

Forgot to mention that Rodrigo (I mentioned him last post!) was at Real Union!! I totally forgot I bought him as a 19 year old I think and he played a few times time scoring 6 times in 30 starts.

I sold him to Inter and he has become a really good player, we didnt miss him and if I recall he was a bit of a trouble maker! Glad to see he has finally grown up! :)

So thats it so far, 3 trophies won and 3 more to play for. With La Liga and the Champions league my main aim!

Thanks for reading!!

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate and praise you on winning The Spanish Super Cup, The European Super Cup and The World Championship Title. Again, you are clearly the dominate side in the La Liga, and you should be victorious yet again in the title race. You’ve a tough tie against Juventus, but I believe you’ll prevail with ease, giving your current performances. Goodluck!

Well done Ana, your team are looking very good on all fronts. Congratulations on the cup win, hopefully you can win them all now! I think the league is going to be yours again, and you’ve got a good chance against Juventus. Good luck!

Great job Ana, there is no team in the world that can stop your Real Union, I’m sure you’ll get past Juventus. The South American campaign looks good too but you still have to play the «big guns» like Argentina, Uruguay or Colombia, those can be pretty tricky matches. Good luck!

P.S.: Spain have to beat Portugal, if you ask me the two teams can not even be compared. Spain plays real football, Portugal didn’t show much of that in the three group matches. Ronaldo or no Ronaldo, Spain will win!

    Hi Ana,
Well done on some excellent form. Your team seems to have some real Brzilian flair. Won’t say too much as the other comments about sum it up but well done, you’ve made Real Union almost unstoppable.

P.S. I agree with Johnny, the only way Portugal can win is through some theatrical diving from Ronaldo (which I have experienced as an England fan.) I hope Spain show them how to play football the right way.

    Hello Ana
Well, you are practically unstoppable as you collect trophy after trophy and continuing your dominance both at home and around the globe. You certainly are a fantastic manager.

@ Sears — Thanks! We have a good record of against Juventus so am confident of a win. The cup wins were nice but nothing if I cant retain my la liga and champions league titles!

@ Laxeyman — Thanks! Yeah the league is getting fairly easy to win at the moment, but we have a lot of hard away games but if we can get through them then I dont think anyone can catch us!

@ Johnny — Agreed! My tactic suits Brazil perfect but like you said away at those teams and teams like Chile are going to test my team!

@ Darren — Thanks! Yeah my aim was to dominate with Union like Barca or Real Madid have done and now my aim is to get 20 years in charge!

@ Kevin — Ha! Thank you! It took me a while to get a solid foundation of players but now we are earning the rewards! Hopefully more trophies to come!

    -OFFTOPIC-

@ Johnny & Darren — Hopefully! Spain play the football I like to watch and we have the players to win, hopefully Torres can get over what is troubling him and start scoring again.

Villa is showing the quality he has, am so excited to see him at Barcelona next year!
