Real Union — 28 Games Into Season 2025

Hello everyone!!

Am back home after my holidays but have been a little unwell. Am feeling alot better now so have decided to post the new update to my story.

This post will take us 28 games into my new season so lets have a look how things have gone!

La Liga Table And Results

Well we have continued to win even if David wasnt as prolific as the first half of the season. He gained another hatrick against Real Madrid and we put 8 past struggling Gimnastic with David’s strike partner Julio Cesar scoring 3 times.

Narrow wins over both Recreativo and Cadiz then 8 goals in two games to beat both Racing and Getafe.

The League Table

So we are 8 points clear of second place Barcelona with a game in hand and right on course to win the title again. We have been attacking so well this season scoring 89 times in 28 games.

Defense has been really good too as only 18 goals against giving us a difference of +71!

The Champions League

So we enter the quarter final stage after beating Arsenal over two legs. We began really poor in London and were 1-0 down after a few minutes but we battled back and went in at half time 2-1 up with David and the evergreen Luc Castaignos finding the net.

However on the 70 minute mark we let our advantage slip and it was 2-2 a result I would have taken to be honest, but late on Julio Cesar reaced through to clip the ball over the keeper and give us a narrow 3-2 win, a classy goal from a player in form.

The home leg was poor, neither side gained any momentum and we comfortably dealt with the Arsenal threat. We now meet Spanish rivals Real Madrid in the quarter final stage.

The Spanish Cup

Out we go after two poor displays from my team, losing at home was a big surprise as we are so strong at Irueta Park. We were even poorer in the away leg and were rightfully out to a good Atletico side they march into the final to meet Barcelona.

Player Ratings

So David’s 41 goals in 41 games puts him at the top of the pile with 7.57 average, Cesar his strike partner scored 23 times in 30 games and the two have forged a brilliant partnership.

Zhandanovich I feel could replace Castaignos but again injury has cut his season down with only 19 starts this season, Atuxta and Lowe are still going strong in my midfield and Lopez Santos and Mazza are also having great seasons.

Arrizabalaga is a youth prospect from our acadamy and I posted his stats a while ago, but he is starting to develop into and good midfield player.

So thats it!

I have already played the remainder of the season so will post that up when I get a chance, and once again thanks for reading.

Hey Ana, David is extremely impressive. I bet your top spot is down to his 40 plus goals. You have a very comfortable lead and I reckon 1st place is almost guaranteed. Its a shame about about the Spanish Cup although your still in the Champions League. Goodluck Ana

    HI Ana,
wow 89 goals after just 28 games, I guess your going to break the goal scpring record in La Liga :-D The title should be wrapped up soon, thus you can concentrate on the Champions League now. Goodluck!

Well, we’ve all seen what Atletico can do last night against Inter :) Welcome back Ana, your team appears to be extremely entertaining to watch, with so many goals scored the Spanish TV audience surely loves your Real Union by now :) Good luck in the Champions League!

@ hils — Thanks! Yeah we have been scoring for fun this season and have dominated the league. Just need to keep going and secure the league title.

@ Laxeyman — Thank you, would love to win back the champions league but Real will provide a good test. But we have a decent record against them so am fairly confident.

@ Kevin — Thanks! Yeah Atletico are my hate team! They always seem to find a way to beat me maybe I will try a different approach next time I play them.

@ Darren — Thanks also, yeah David has been amazing this season but he has been a very consistant scorer since I bought him from Valencia where he just as prolific. The Spanish cup is a kind of mini-trophy if you will, I dont make a special effort to try and win it, often giving my younger/back up players the games!

@ Sears — Hopefully!! We are right on course and if we can keep up our goal scoring form we have every chance of breaking the record. Agreed the league is almost there, now to focus on the champions league!

@ Johnny — Ha! Yeah probably why I get the most money from the Spanish TV rights! My team play exactly how I like football to be played so its nice to watch! Thanks for the luck, if any match goes to pens we will definatly need it!!
