Real Union — 2025/2026

Hi everyone!!

I have decided that this will be my final season on this current game, I have really enjoyed this game and hope you have enjoyed reading it. I wanted to get to 20 years in charge but that is too far away and I just dont have the time especially with the new game coming out.

I will write a new story for the new game! But ideas are welcomed on who I should, my ideas were either the weakest team in Spain (Hopefully lower than the Segunda) or managing Barcelona and keeping the team as it is but only using acadamy players, buying no-one.

I dont mind managing else where like in Mexico, Brazil etc But any ideas you have just post below!

Thanks and lets begin! :)

Ana. xx

————————————————————————————————————————————————

So pre season and nothing really much to report! One sadish piece of news was this :

My record goalscorer calling it a day, I did manage to offer him a coaching contract so he will still remain at the club where he has become a real hero!

I made one transfer and let a few players go, here are the details! :-

I sold Ekaitz Simon for big money to Genoa as I couldnt find a a postion for him, as he is a winger and my formation dosnt use them. I tried playing him upfront but he wasnt clinical enough and at wing back he couldnt defend! So I sold him and was pleased with the amount.

I let Romero go after many years of service to Real Union and a payed loan saw Saenz leave. Next up my only new signing.

Santiago Marcos

I was planning more long term and he was going to hopefully be my David replacement. I payed £18 million to Atletico for him and already you can see his qualities. At 21 he would have had a bright future, even if the price was a little more than I was hoping.

Thats it really on the Real Union side, my squad is the same as we prepare for my final season on FM 10!

On the national side we have the confederations cup!!

We were drawn in group B along side Saudi Arabia, the USA and Vanuatu fairly easy considering group A had England, Spain, Italy and the Ivory Coast!!

I counted my blessings!

The Group Stage

As expected we easily progressed despite only managing a draw against a very good USA team. Not much else to say as we beat both Saudi Arabia and Vanuatu very comfortably.

Semi Final

A real test against Spain, currently managed my Josep Guardiola. As you can see I struggled to contain David but it was my other Union player Atuxta who cost them the win, getting sent off. We needed extra time when Juventus striker Toninho scored the winner, became really one sided as we exploited the extra man.

The Final

Well as one sided as you can get and I was really surprised. Despite going a goal down (against the run of play) my team dominated the Italians. Alex scored from a corner to level the scores and Real Union striker Julio Cesar gave us the lead before half time.

Felix curled a fantastic free kick in on 51 minutes and Cesar completed the scoring on 78 minutes to claim the trophy!! Was really pleased to beat both Italy and Spain and confidence is high for the up and coming world cup finals.

World Cup Qualification

The finals games in the qualification for the world cup which will be held by the winners of the last world cup England! And we booked our flights to the UK, with  an almost perfect record only an away defeat in Argentina spoiling our campaign.

Nothing much to say 18 games 17 wins 60 goals scored and 13 against sends a message to the world that we are major contenders for the world cup 2026.

So thats pretty much it for now! Will try to get the next part played and posted ASAP in what will be be my final season with Real Union.

A good new striker there Ana, and a great confederations cup win. It looks like your team will be very strong contenders for the World Cup after that great qualifying campaign. Good luck for the season :)

I would vote for the Barca option Ana, I would be really curious to see how you’ll manage without any signings. Well done on winning the Confederations Cup, you had two really tough games with Italy and Spain. Looking forward to the World Cup and another handful of silverware with Real Union, good luck!

The Spain game could have gone either way the sending off changed everything and thankfully we got a hard fought win!

Will do my best to win as many trophies as I can in my last season!

      Thanks hils!

Yeah but the problem is I dont know how far below the segunda (like the championship in England) they are going in the new game.

Hopefully they will add a few more divisons but I need a back up just incase!

      :)

    Hello Ana
Well done on your Confederation triumph and good luck in your final season of this epic story. My vote would be Alcorcon if you only have two leagues to choose from. They just got promoted to the Segunda and have a very smal stadium, around 3,000 :)

      Yeah!

I really hope they do add a few more leagues in Spain, as its my favourite and the place I enjoy managing the most!

Will have a look at them when I get the game!

      :)

Well done Ana on winning the Confederations cup, and that new player is very good for the age of 21! Good luck in your last season.

Well done Ana, wonderful off season. I too manage Brazil and managed to win Copá America. Expectations are to high though ha. Great signing, he has enough quality to replace David. Regarding FM11, I think you should manage a lower league Spanish side. Up to you though, goodluck.

Totally agree!! I mean I lost only one game in qualification and my board were still not happy!

Yeah shame I wont get to see him develop thanks for the vote!
