Hello everyone!!
Sorry for not posting in ages, just with Spain winning the world cup (Lots of celebrations as you would expect!), my ultra busy work life and my computer having broke but now fixed havnt had any real time to play!
However I did manage to finish my season and I will now present it to you!
—————————————————————————————————————————————————
La Liga Results And Table
Unfortunatly we couldnt remain unbeaten all season however we began this spell of results with great confidence. An 8-0 thrashing over Sporting followed a 6-1 victory over Villarreal. Having beaten Atletico 2-1 away I was very confident of going all season unbeaten until the Barcelona game.
Dissaponting performance but we also lost away to Real Madrid so couldnt really make an excuse. Two really nice 5-0 wins completed our season which was very pleasing!
The Final Table
As you can see despite our dominace we only won by 4 points which was fairly close. We were terrific but in the end just about won the league, we scored 102 goals which was brilliant and against only 23 giving us a huge difference of 80 goals.
Another title as we continue our domestic dominace over the rest of the teams.
The Champions League
We managed to comfortably beat Saint-Etienne in the quarter final to set up a semi against Chelsea. After securing a fantastic 3-2 away win we then went on to lose our home game by the same score.
The teams couldnt be seperated after 120 minutes so a penalty shoot out it was.
Here is the result :
I knew we would lose. My record on penalties is shocking losing about 70% I think. Just one of those things but as you can see a game full of incedents and talking points.
A 90 minute goal for Chelsea was annoying to say the least but my keeper (Gauchino) made two horrendus mistakes costing two goals.
My usual penalty takers all scored (David, Vandinho, Atuxta and Flavio) but we missed our 9th when Aizpurua our home grown acadamy player blazed wide. Such a shame as Velasco would have taken one but was sent off for two bookable offences.
So we miss out on the final and my penalty curse strikes again, we tried our best to defend our trophy but all in vain. Hopefully we can win it back next year.
Spanish Cup Final
A bit of happiness at the end!
We beat Real Madid but the game was forgettable. Dont ask we why but the game was very stale and nothing really happened, but David slotted the ball past the keeper after a fantastic pass from Atuxta to seal the win.
Player Ratings End Of Season
Well David was amazing, scoring 44 times in 56 games and is catching our all time leading goals scorer Kramaric (230). Velasco too had his best season at Real Union he was 16 when I first joined Real Union and he is now 33!
My usual rocks were also fantastic in Atutxa, Lowe, Krystov and Castaignos. New signing Julio Cesar was also very good scoring 15 times in 25 games and forging a great partnership with David.
Zhandanovich had a really bad injury keeping him out for many months but still had a good season in my eyes.
So thats that!
All in all am delighted 5 trophies from 6 isnt too bad, even if the champions league is the one I wanted. We played well scored lots of goals and defended really well, my team is now getting older and experienced but we need a few new faces and youngers stars.
I think my golden generation of acadamy players may be over as we havnt produce a quality player in over 5 seasons. So am hoping that the new season can bring in a few, will be also looking for a few younger players to sure up the squad.
Thanks for reading and I will get the next part updated as soon as I play it!!

Another year of dominance in the domestic league Ana, well done. Too bad on the loss to Chelsea in the semi finals and i hope you will lay your hands on the champions league trophy in next season provided you are still managing Real Union :)

Hi Ana,
good to see you doing so well!
i have to admit i started reading your posts about a week ago and thought it was a good challenge to take up my new job as real union manager. i previously always managed man utd and started to find it very boring! Real union for me is a massive challenge, i have just started my 3rd season, i finished 16th and 13th in my first two seasons, so hopefully i can do better this year. The stadium increase really held me back in the second season! I have signed some decent players in the pre season just gone, oliver kapo, chimbonda and a guy called tchite who i hope will score me the goals i need to get promoted, as gorka brit had to be sold!
Ill let u know how i get on, if i get anywhere near what u have achieved ill be very happy!
keep up your good work! been good reading your posts

Hi Ana, another magnificent campaign, well done. Shame about the Champions League, but hopefully you can win it again next year. Good luck and looking forward to seeing what you do in pre season.

Well done Ana! Winning the league with sooo many points and beating Real Madrid in the final must be satisfying. I am sorry to see you lost in the Semi-final of the Champions League though. You were quite unlucky in the end. Must admit I have the same problem with penalties, very frustrating to get so far and have your hard work crushed from 5 spot kicks! Anyway, looking at your player stats David is my favourite. He certainly has an eye for goal.
Good luck for next season Ana
ps congratulations on the World Cup. I was very happy to see the best team win.

Hi Ana
Well done on completing another fabulous season though too bad about that penalty shoot out. Lots to be proud of though and keep the flag flying :)

Well done Ana, you should have a whole museum of silverware at the club by now! You could switch to an Arsenal-like transfer policy, bringing in under 18 or even under 16 (where possible) players from all over the world to be raised at your club. Having a network of feeder clubs could be an option too if your academy fails to produce as many players as it used to.

@ Lye — Thanks! Yeah am getting headhunted all over the place! Had a few job offers too! Will definatly re-double my efforts in trying to win back the champions league!
@ Rudz — Thank you very much! :)
Its a good challenge, Brit was a real star for me! If you need any advice on players then just ask me, I found some real stars! I probably got promoted too soon, and overachieved. So no surprise we were relegated straight away, probably better to build like you have, then go for a promotion push!
Let me know how you get on, am really interested in how you will do!
@ Laxeyman — Thanks! My squad is a little on the old side, so will be looking to find some talented youngsters. Have brought some new scouts in also to expand my network!
@ Callum — Yeah, it just wont lift! Bad luck, but I never expect to win them, so am not too dissapointed when the inevitable happens!
@ Sears — Thanks! Yeah 5 from 6 isnt too bad, I mean some players played close to 65 games but the fitness of my squad is excellent. Shame about the semi, but it happens!
@ Darren — As a Barca fan I love beating Real Madrid!
I totally agree I feel its a very poor way to finish a game, I mean we worked so hard and to lose from a miss from a player who would normally never take one is a little harsh.
David is outstanding almost David Villa like in real life, I believe he will catch Kramaric’s record.
@ Kevin — Ha! I will! Just a shame as I have said to lose on those stupid pens! Get me every time, but am more determined to re-gain the trophy now!
@ Johnny — Yeah we are having a golden spell of trophy winning!
I usually do that, but wanted a more Barcelona style of acadamy players rather than bought in talent but agreed I think I may have to change, as my squad is getting pretty old.
We do have some outstanding youth coaches so may not be a bad idea in the short term.
I have a few feeder clubs mostly to loan my younger players for first team experience, but will look into adding more!

thanks ana!
I wouldnt mind knowing which formation you used when you got promoted, im using 4-5-1 at the moment with attacking wingers, i find it very good at home but my away form is awful!
two games in my third season, lost first game away at newly relegated deportivo la cornua 1-0 which isnt a bad result considering! and won in the cup second round against celta!
ill keep you posted!
good luck in your next season!

Hi Rudz!
I played a formation I invented which was a sort of 4-2-2-2 with two central midfield players, two wide attackers and two strikers one being a target and the other a quicker one.
It worked fairly well until I changed to a better one that my freind help design.
Away at the better teams I resorted to trying to soak up pressure whilst hitting fast on the counter, and it got me alot of 1-0 wins.
I recommend a player called Tarno Neemelo from Estonia, he was fantastic for me at that level and he was a free transfer too!
Again keep me informed on how your doing and good luck to you also! :)
