Hi everyone!!
Am back posting my mammoth game with Real Union as we enter season 2024. I have been going through some personal problems in my life but I believe everything is now sorted.
I wont share the details but I am fine now, also I will be going away on Saturday on a little holiday to Spain.
I should be back the following Saturday so please dont miss me too much!! :D

So the season began as it always does for me with the Spanish Super Cup a trophy we win every year it seems! This time we would meet Real Madrid and here is the final result :
The first leg was forgettable as it ended 0-0 but the return leg at home was alot more exciting. We took the lead in 30 seconds after Peter Lowe broke from midfield to slot in the first and only six minutes later Julio Cesar put my team 2-0. Gauchino made a brilliant save to deny Helan and we punished the mistake by making it 3 on the stroke of halftime.
Cesar completed a hat-trick then a late slip let Der Plas score a consolation but my team were once again Super cup champions.
La Liga Table And Results
We began the season is great style with two back to back 7-0 victories then a 5-1 win. David was unbelievable scoring 12 times in 5 games including 6 against Albacete.
His amazing start went on as he scored twice against Recreativo, 4 times against Getafe, another hat-trick against Valencia and a double against Zaragoza.
Wins have been amazing but away defeat at Atletico and draws away at Sevilla and Barcelona were not too bad I guess.
We lead the away again but Real Madrid are hot on our tail only 4 points behind. Barcelona are a further 3 points away as we look to retain our la liga trophy.
We have scored 59 times in 17 games which is fantastic and my side are full of confidence only 11 against and a massive +48 already as we begin the season in full attacking mode!
The Spanish Cup
Early stages but my team continue to fire in the goals, even when I pick my second string goals continue to come but we have a really tricky tie next against Atletico Madrid.
The Champions League
A fairly kind group with only Ajax as a ‘big’ club. We qualified with 6 wins but our toughest game came away in Turkey as we battled from 2-0 down to win the match.
The draw wasnt kind to us as we meet Arsenal in the last 16 stage, another tough game for my Union side.
Player Ratings
Well Davis is in top form scoring 33 goals in 26 starts and leads the ratings. Zhdanovich has stepped into the Castaignos role well scoring 5 times in 10 games but injury continues to plague him.
Cesar is the perfect partner for David despite both players being kind of small but their pace and finishing is clinical. Atuxta and Mazza remain as reliable as ever.
However my whole squad is playing well so am really pleased with my start.
And thats it!
We have a couple of tricky ties in both the champions league and the spanish cup but we are in full confidence and are playing really well, infact the best I have seen since I joined Real Union. Hopefully we can come through both ties and win all the trophies we can!

What’s the craic Ana?
That was a superb start to the season! David seems to be an assassin in front of goal! You really have become the best team in Spain, and hopefully you can become the best in Europe too! Also, how are your financias? You havn’t spent much money in the past season or two and your doing really well in cup competitions so I guess you must have a lot of money saved up :-D

Hi Ana, wow, a lot of goals are being scored, your side are dominating most matches, well done! David is in incredible form, 6 goals in 1 game! Well done on the Cup win, and it looks like the league will be yours again as well. Good luck in the Champions League, hopefully you can win that too.

Hi Ana, thats an awesome attacking display by your team. You are surely going to retain the title again with David is such great form. I hope you can get past Arsenal and win the champions league once again.

Hola Ana, your team is absolutely demolishing most of the opponents, great attacking skills there. 33 goals in 26 apps for David really is something out of the ordinary. Enjoy your Spanish holiday, we’ll surely miss you :)

@ Kevin — Thanks, I am more than pleased with my team at the moment!
@ Sears — Long story…but on my story and David is amazing just so clinical at the moment. Finances are very good we have a good £80+ million in the bank so am hoping for a little more stadium expansion in the future. But the we cant seem to get planning permission at the moment which is quite annoying!!
@ Laxeyman — Thank you! Yeah David is wonderful, he just cant be stopped and it seems he is getting better. Tough draws in both cups but am hopeful of winning!
@ Lye — Thanks, Arsenal are a good team but I feel my team can beat anyone at the moment. Hopefully we can continue are goal scoring form and progress even further.
@ Johnny — Hola! Agreed, he is just unstoppable at the moment but I hope he does not lose his touch as we need to win everything this year!

@ plobdork — First season I did ok, nothing spectacular but I did sign some quality players in my second season that help me get promotion. Then just signed the best players I could find and made a tactic that my team seem to love and the rest is history as they say!!
