So after finally catching up! I can now reveal the first team squad of my Real Union team. Many are regens but I will provide pictures so you can evaluate how good/bad you think they are!
So here we go!
Goalkeepers
Sergio Romero : My current number 1 and has been for the past 6 years. Very consistant and has alot of experience.
Have my current season stats on but shouldnt make much difference as you have no idea what has happened! Also please click the images to see them bigger!!
Gauchino : My current back-up keeper and hopefully will take over from Romero.
Defenders
Gorka Velasco : My regen from season 1! Still at the club and is my Puyol type player! Also my most picked player in Union history and vice captain.
Juan Manuel Aizpurua : Acadamy full back born locally like Velasco and current left back in my team.
Miodrag Bisaku : Croation defender who cost £15 million and is very new to my squad.
Sergiy Krystov : No nonsense defender and very reliable. Signed from Roma where he was transfer listed.
Leo : My former favourite player and Union legend! Also current captain and has been since I signed him.
Aitor Azparren : Newly signed Spanish left back from Valencia, and one for the future.
Michel : My Brazilian fullback signed from Almeria, and a very solid player.
Midfield
Unai Atutxa : Another home grown acadamy player, and another fine addition to my Union side!
Flavio : Brazilian defensive midfielder and again very consistant and a quality player.
Luis Lopez Fernandez : Probably the best midfielder in Spain at the moment and is world class.
Jamie Rigby : Newly signed from liverpool and again one for the future.
Dario Ganzerla : Was hoping for a little better from this player, but still has time to develop into a good player.
Peter Lowe : Becoming a real fan favourite and scores some really vital goals.
Luc Castaignos : As I have said my favourite player at the club, just different class.
Forwards
David : Again probably one of the best strikers in the world, and really clinical, the new David Villa!
Mikel Pena : Another acadamy talent that has broken into the first team. A brilliant subsitute he can always grab a goal when we need one!
Vandinho : Giant Brazilian front man, bought to give us a plan B!
Andrej Kramaric : Our record goalscorer is last but no means least!
So thats the boys! Am more than happy with the squad, and the fact that some are home grown talents which makes it a little more special I think. Hope everything is easy to read, and I will now post my manager profile for you all to see!

Hi Ana, after looking at your squad, i think your team’s bigger strength is at the middle and up front. You have fantastic midfielders and strikers. Its also good that you got a lot of youth coming out from the youth acadamy. I believe the only area you need to strengthen is probably the full back area. Nice squad and will be waiting for your new post soon.

Wow, that’s a very strong squad. And you seem to have a very efficient academy, I never had so many local players breaking into the first team. Actually I had none of those in my Notts County game. Well done, I’m looking forward to the next post.

Nice Squad, How Do You Like Having A Lot Of Regens, On FM 09 When I Got That Far, It Felt Different And Quite Good, But I Still Had Players Like Aguero, Balotelli And Tremolada (For Chelsea Around 2021)
Oops, There’s Your Manager Photo Again, LOL.Your Manager Attributes Are Realllyyy Good! But Your Domestic Player Bias Should Probably Be Higher Considering All The Spanish Talent In Your Team

@ Lye — I totally agree! Problem is good full backs are really hard to find! Michel has done a fantstic job for me and I may have to move Aizpurua to right and have Azparren left. I try to copy the Barcelona philosophy of bringing youngsters through and am so pleased to have a few!
@ Micheal — True, but am 12 years into the future meaning Messi is now 34! So thats why many are regenerated, I would rather have a 19 year old regen who I can have for say 8-10 years than an older player say Messi who will only play 2-4 max!
@ Kevin — Thanks! Afraid not, cheap Australian co-op wine I am ashamed to say!:D But when I am drunk it all tastes the same! I am really happy with the squad, and with the loyalty my players show.
@ Johnny — Thank you, I do take a few risks on acadamy players and some dont make the grade but I am proud of when one or two make the first team, I believe that is how a team should be built. Buy some players but keep the identity with a few home grown talents.
@ Martin — I dont mind, I always like looking for the next Messi for example! Yeah but I bought quite alot of foreign players, especially from Brazil so that will mark me down. And most of my Spanish players are acadamy players, but will try to raise that stat over the next few years!

Hi Ana, you have a very strong squad, particularly in the centre of midfield and up front. It’s great that a few have come through the academy, I try and do that but it’s not easy, so well done! Looking forward to your next post.

A fantastic setup of Midfielder. Castaignos is a dream, so is that hotshot Spanish worldclasser.
But i do think your defense is looking a bit weak. Then again it’s spain and the defence is never that prolific in any team. :)
And whats up with Dario Ganzerlas picture? his graph is missing. Or is it just me?

@ Laxeyman — Thanks! I always try to bring youth from the acadamy into the first team, and I agree that our midfield and strikers are amongst the best in the world at the moment.
@ Majk — True! But we do defend ok, so am happy at the back! Castaignis is fantastic, the difference between a good or bad season! Hmm Yeah, it is missing…not 100% sure how that happened! But he is an average midfielder in my opinion.
