The Copa America

The Oceania Nations Cup

The Caribbean Championships*

The Confederations Cup – 2013 England

The Olympics*

The African Nations – 2017 – Cameroon

The Asian Cup

The European Championships – 2012 England

The Four Associations Tournament

As you can see there is two cups with a * on the end, they are in place because they aren’t a cup I have to win to complete it. If I get the chance I shall go for it but I will not be searching for the job.

Hello guys, there is a couple of bits you want to hear from me! Firstly I haven’t took the Spain job based on what is there for me to win with them? There isn’t I am trying to get through all this as quick as I can and with only 4 trophies and 2 I can possibly do I want to do it asap!

Secondly the most important bit! Yes I have made it through the groups stages but where did I finish? 1st or 2nd and who else got through? Well have a look;

Yes that’s right, 1st! An unexpected finish for Mexico but we have done it! With on the final day with us drawing against Brazil in a thrilling encounter with the outcome 2-2 was a superb game with us fighting back from 2-0 down to 2-2. On the other hand France was playing Japan and well they drew 2-2 which put us through! So yes that is the second main part of the news! Oh and I forgot to tell you who I was playing and also Brazil!

So it was Mexico vs Germany and Brazil vs Argentina, although I did get the easier draw than Brazil but I mean Germany they are a top class team to play in the next round all I can really say is Mexico has had one hell of a ride in this World Cup with the likes of Brazil, France and Germany! Who next?

Let’s also see who everyone else has drawn!

What I’ll do, I’ll predict who will go through for each fixture;

Italy

Ivory Coast

Germany :/

Argentina

Chile

Belgium

England

Croatia

That’s how I see it personally, Yes I have gone against Mexico but I think it has come to an end for us but let’s just see what happens!

Here is the team line ups;

So according to a well known source «Goal.com»

They said «Mexico look favourites tonight, and I can see them winning 1-0.»

Come on boys, you’ve done a hell of a lot so far don’t let this slip! (Team talk — I Expect a win!)

YES boys! Your one step closer to your dream I am so happy! (Team talk — Well done)

Match report —

Germany 0 – 1 Mexico (World Cup 2nd Round)

Mexico produced a solid performance to beat Germany at Rostov-na-Donu

With the game nearing an end, it was Javier Hernandez who scored a placed shot to give Mexico the lead on 91 minutes.

Mexico had the better of the ball but failed to capitalise and watched their opponents create more chances.

Here is the highlights from today’s game between Germany and Mexico (1080p):

So here is the team line ups for you!

So according to a well known source «The Ivorian Football Post»

They said «This game will be very close — I think it will most likely come down to the lottery of a penalty shoot-out.»

First half —

17th minute — GOAL — Javier Hernandez

38th minute — GOAL — Gervinho

45th minute — GOAL — Abraham Ramirez

Half time —

Ivory Coast 1 — 2 Mexico

Full time —

Ivory Coast 1 — 2 Mexico

Match report —

Ivory Coast 1 — 2 Mexico (World Cup Quarter Finals)

Mexico won a hard fought battle against Ivory Coast on a hard bouncy surface at Olympic Stadium.

Striker Javier Hernandez gave Mexico the lead with an incisive finish in the 17th minute. Ivory Coast’s equaliser came through Gervinho as he seized on Enrique Perez’s mistake to score an accurate finish. Winger Abraham Ramirez scored what proved to be the winner for the away side on 45 minutes with an effort from the edge of the area which curled past the goalkeeper.

Here are the highlights from the Quarter Finals;

So guys, I’ve got a little bit of news for you! Some may say what the hell are you doing and some may say it was a good choice but!

Yes I did decide to accept the job, with The Copa America coming up and I couldn’t see myself winning the World Cup with Mexico this year and I’ve already previously won this cup it wasn’t need again but the Copa America is needed to get closer to completing the challenge. I mean Brazil it’s a once in a last time chance to manage Brazil and I did snap at it.

But don’t worry some of you may still be a little interested in what happened with Mexico? I left them before an important semi final against Chile, this is how they done…

They cruised into the final with a 3-0 win over Chile. They are only one step away from winning the World Cup Final without me! They was up against a outstanding Argentina team who beat Brazil 4-0!

It was a shame they couldn’t hold onto the lead but they done everyone proud especially they fans! I am a little bummed about not being able to lead them out into the final but business is business!

Moving onto Brazil, Here are the remaining fixtures of the year. (Without the Copa America draw)

So I leave you with that! A surprise I no with not taking the Spain Job, leaving Mexico to go Brazil with Brazil knocked out to the winners of the the World Cup in the 2nd round.

Have I done the right thing?

    I think you made a sensible choice there and still did brilliantly in the World cup.

    Fantastic World Cup Jon, and you were right to reject Spain, you can’t win anything new with them, and you can with Brazil. It looks like you’ll have to do battle with a very good Argentina side, but I’m sure you’ll do well in the Copa America, good luck!

      Thank you Laxeyman, I wanted to go to Spain to try revive them from a poor world cup but there wasn’t any point, Brazil on the other hand different ball game!

    Brazil is a great choice for the Copa America, you should at least get to the final there. Good luck!

    Leaving Mexico in the middle of a tournament? Common mate! Who am I kidding, it was brazil that came calling. But you should have asked for time. Good to see Mexico still had a good tournament. Good luck with the Copa America.

      reading the first bit thought you was annoyed ha, but I no Brazil is a team you can’t turn down! You can’t ask for time when managing a national team only in clubs

    You made the right decision 100%. You needed to win the Copa America so leaving was a good idea.

    I am not sure whether you would have needed the ranking points from getting 2nd in the World Cup but you have stayed a bit longer than necessary for mexico so good luck with Brazil
