Now that all the roles are listed I’d like to show you something else: each attribute’s definition in the game manual. I have noticed that there are many players that don’t quite understand what each attribute is about, so I’d recommend reading the game manual thoroughly and also moving to the next page to see each attribute explained.

I guess a description of the post and a link to the original would be OK, I’ve been working long hours on this one. After all I’m doing the same with Fm-Base stuff, I put on a description and link back to the original for the downloads. Thanks.

Hi, Johnny, would you mind help me of finding a good striking position for lacina traore, i know i can just view this list and find myself but i cant seem to understand it. i have put lacina traore for two striking positions which are poacher and complete forward and still he only manage 10-15 goals in the premier league. what seem to be wrong??

I know Lacina Traore from real-life since he plays for a Romanian club and my impression is that he is more suited to be a target man given his size and strength. I don’t know his profile in the game though but it should be pretty close to the real one.

wow, that is cool, i know he is still playing for CFR cluj and how is his form in there and really hope he can be the next drogba. thank for the advice so i will try to play him as a target man and do i need special schedules for it???

Well, he isn’t scoring too many for CFR Cluj either but the whole team is having a pretty bad season. There are special training schedules for target men if you want to use one but I wouldn’t say that’s a must. Anyway, I guess he could also do well as a complete forward since he has a wide range of qualities and playing him as a complete forward could help his development in the long run. It’s a dilemma but I guess the main thing is to be patient with him, he’s still young.

Are these taken from the game and what is highlighted or are they what you think?

No, these are my personal opinions on the essential attributes. Those tips in the game highlight a few of these as well.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together for us. Very useful indeed. Do you know if the manual is available in a download PDF?

I don’t think there’s a downloadable version of the manual unfortunately.

You must have spent quite a well preparing this post Johnny. Like you I havn’t been able to play FM much lately. I feel as if I’m starting to lose my love for the game right now, but I’m sure I’ll retain that love again sooner or later. Looking forward to your next post, good luck.

It took me around a week to prepare it and a few hours to write it. I didn’t lose my passion for the game though, this post is an expression of that passion after all :)

Jey Johny did you take the info from the tactics to choose players «role» like advanced playmaker or w/e, from the bottom left corner of the screen. Just to make sure if it is the same

I’m not sure what’s in the bottom left corner of the screen but the roles are indeed assigned from the tactics screen.
