Goal of the month competition: we have a winner!

Hello dear friends! The voting is now closed for the January Goal Of The Month Competition and I would like to thank all those who entered the contest and also all those who voted for the best goal. More than 100 people expressed their view and the race was pretty tight. In the end it’s our friend Vaibhav C. who clinched it thanks to Cork’s goal while Ana Garcia‘s goal from Hong Kong came in second. Here is the winning goal again:

Vaibhav will get a copy of “Inverting The Pyramid: The History of Football Tactics” by Jonathan Wilson, a great book about football tactics. The winner is kindly asked to email me his postal address and I will send the book immediately ;)

So, the January competition is over but it’s time to begin February’s quest for the best goal! You are invited to submit your goals (one for each user) but placing a comment on this post with a link to the video of the respective goal. You can submit the goals until next Sunday at midnight GMT and then your goals will be entered in a poll and the users will decide who wins. February’s winner will get another great book about football, «Football Fables» by Iain Macintosh (you can find out more about the book by clicking on the picture below).

So, congratulations to January’s winner and good luck to all of those who will enter the competition in February!

A great goal and a great prize, the book really is a good one. Unfortunately I haven’t got any goals at the moment, most of mine seem to be tap ins :)

You still have some time until the end of the week to find a worthy goal, I hope you will :)

Congrats on the win Vaibhav C. Here’s my goal for February. Van Persie lobs the Tottenham goal keeper from a long way out.

Great goal again mate, you surely are in with a good chance :) About the delivery date, there’s nothing I can do about it unfortunately. I would have beamed it over to you instantly if that would have been possible.

Yes, you have to make an account with YouTube and then enter the account details in the game before being able to upload the video.
