Most of you have already downloaded the facepack that I let you know about last week, now it’s time to add even more style to the game with an absolutely great Football Manager 2011 logos pack made by Kremmen from sortitoutsi.net. The pack has more than 20,000 club logos, over 850 competition logos, all nations logos, continents and flags. Let’s have a look at some screen shots to see how these nice logos fit into my game.
They look great, don’t you agree? All credit for this one must go to Kremmen, he did some fantastic work, as usual. You can download the pack by clicking on the picture below but be patient, it’s quite large (2GB). You can also try some alternative download links from FmScout (including a torrent link) by clicking here.
How to install
1. Extract the archive file to > my documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2011 >
2. Open FM 2011, go to Preferences > Display and Sound and uncheck use skin cache and check always reload skin on confirm. Then click on «confirm» and wait for the skin to reload. Then the logos and flags should appear in your game.

fm does takes up a lot of space…3gb facepack, 2gb logo, ~2gb install + saved games…
i’m sure there are more add-ons that can be downloaded…hope my laptop can handle them all…

How come when I download the torrent file that it’s downloaded within seconds? But the size of the file is tiny, nothin like it should be?

The torrent file is tiny indeed but you have to open that file in a BitTorrent client program (like uTorrent) and that program will download the «big» file for you. That’s how torrents work. ;)

Oh OK, thanks. Another problem I’m having is regarding the skins. I have them downloaded perfectly, and extracted perfectly (I think anyway). I extracted them to a skins folder inside my graphics folder but they still won’t show up on the game? Do you know what the problem is? Thanks

Are you talking about skins or player faces? Because if it’s skins then those shouldn’t be in the graphics folder but in a «skins» folder.

I meant the skin, and I created just a skins folder and downloaded the skin again and it still won’t appear on the game in preferences… I have use skin cache unticked and always reload skin on confirm ticked..

I have not installed a new skin in FM 2011 until now but as far as I know there is one thing you should check: inside the «skins» folder you should have another folder with the new skin’s name, let’s say «NewSkin», and then inside that folder there should be another few folders and a NewSkin.xml file. If things are set up like that it should show in the game preferences.

Sears, I have just installed a skin to test the feature and what I did was like this:
— created a «skins» folder inside the My Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2011 folder. Then copied the new skin folder inside the «skins» folder.
— opened the game, went to preferences>display and sound and the new skin was listed in the Skins dropdown menu along with Fm 2011, FM 2011 dark and retro, the skins that were included in the game.
So, if you did all that then I would suggest trying with a new downloaded skin, maybe the one you have is broken or something.

I’ve made the installation of logos but it show me only the team badges and don’t show me the league badges or the small team badges. e.x. league table…What i can do…???

That could mean that your installation is incomplete, the small badges and league badges are included in the pack. For instance, in the «logos>clubs» folder you have to have four other folders: back left, back right, normal and small.

That’s quite strange. Can you check if you have the config file in both the «clubs>small» folder and in the «comps» folders? I can’t really understand why that is happening in your game but I’m trying to help you the best I can.

I’m sorry mate but I really can’t understand what’s going wrong there. Try to go to your preferences>display and sound screen in your game, check again if «use skin cache» is unticked and «always reload skin on confirm» is ticked. If they are then click on «reload skin» and see if anything changes.

I have the same issue (no small logos in English Premier League tables).
I’ve noticed that there’s no config in logos\clubs\small (but is in all the others). The configs seem to be different by folder. Anyone else have the same problem? I started out with «FM11 Metallic Logos.zip» if that helps. Thanks.

Hi Johnny. I don’t know if it is the same cause as Gratsas had. But I downloaded a torrent file from fmscout and then used bit torrent.
(It was the «FM2011 Metallic Logos Megapack».)
Is there a better logos megapack for 2011?

Sorry, perhaps I should have got the torrent file from this site. Anyway, I just picked it up the torrent file, added it to Vuze and was told that it had already been added (i.e. its the same torrent even if it came from another site).

The torrent file is the one from FM Scout, the exact same one. And I don’t think there’s any better logos megapack around than this one (Metallic Logos Megapack).

Thanks Johnny. The Metallic Logos Megapack is brilliant. Except that it doesn’t seem to contain a config file for the small club logos. And possibly there’s some pngs missing as well.
The total zip size for me is 2,143,252kb.
The «logos\clubs\small» directory contains 4,982 files.

i also want to make you 2 questions about the instalation.
1)why the national team logos doesn’t appear no where in the game and also the portugal team logos?
2)why when i install this pack ,at the tackiks screen doesn’t appear on the pitch the players kits nad only the name?

The national team logos are in the pack, if you installed it correctly they should appear. Check your My Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2011>graphics>pictures>logos>Metallic Logos FM11>Nations folder and see if you have the pictures in there (there should be four folders). Secondly, installing the pack should not have any impact on the tactics screen.

I have just checked Befica in my game and their logo appears just fine. I have also checked other Portuguese teams and they all seem fine. From what I can tell your installation is incomplete so you might try to install the logos pack again. Which option have you used for download, the torrent or one of the others?

i have this same problem, i use a mac and have been trying to work out why this is an issue. i have all the files installed correctly since they all work except for flags/national teams/and porto league. everything is extracted to fm11/data/graphics/ etc… this sounds wrong since people don’t seems to put the file in data. so i tried moving my graphics folder out of it and into fm11/graphics/ but this just got rid of everything for me. the xml files for national teams appear correct having them set to logo and flag. i did try changing it to work for just the flags but to no avail

Again, I can’t really help Mac users because I don’t own a Mac and I don’t know anything about the way the game installs on such a machine. However, comparing with the installation on a PC, I have to tell you again that these addons go into the Documents/SI/FM folders and NOT in the installation directory in Program Files. I don’t know if that helps but maybe you can find an analogy.

Hi again Johnny. I’ve pretty much got all the faces extracted now. But using 7zip with the 8 part zip archive for the faces I get read errors on certain files. Anyone else had this issue?
Regarding OS X mentioned above, I’d imagine that its like Windows: somewhere you’ll have a directory called «Football Manager 2011» or «Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2011», probably in your home directory on OS X. In there you need a directory called «graphics» and in there goes the one for «logos» in which the metallic logos go.
Anyone confirm?

Yes, you can use 7zip to extract but only after you have downloaded all the parts. That depends on which Windows 7 version you have installed, the 32 bit or the 64 bit.

I kind of have the same problem as Sears had. I have done everything you told him but it still wont work. And the think you said about the map NewSkin and the file is no were to be find in my skin download.

I downloaded the torrent over limewire, and i made it bigger over limewire. Then i put it into the extract 7-zip program, and the in to My Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 11, but it still dont work?

In that folder i have 72.398 faces and nothing else, and yes i made the necessary changes, both the thing were you should unchec and chec a box and that role down with the skins.

So, inside the «graphics» folder you have a «faces» folder and a «pictures» folder with a «logos» folder in it, right? At least that’s what you should have. Inside the «logos» folder there should be a folder named «Metallic Logos FM11» with five more folders in it.

Yes, that’s right. Everything seems to be right so the logos should appear in your game. I can’t understand what’s going wrong there, maybe it’s a skin related problem, that is if you are using some custom skin that causes problems with the logos.

I don’t know what a «skins map» is. Sears had some problems with installing a skin and that’s what those comments were referring to.

That’s right, skins should be placed in the «skins» folder while faces or logos or kits should be in the «graphics» folder.

1. I downloaded a torrent from the link on this website.
2. Then i put it in to that uTorrent program.
3. Then i extracted the file in 7-zip.

I always reply, don’t worry. From what you are saying I think you might not have extracted the whole archive. Check the logos folder inside Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2011\graphics\pictures and see if its size is smaller than 2GB. If that is the case then you haven’t extracted the whole thing.

On my PC I have a folder called «Metallic Logos FM11» and inside that folder there are five other folders: clubs, comps, confeds, default and nations.

I suggest trying to move everything from the Metallic Logos FM11 folder into the «logos» folder, that does the trick sometimes. Let me know if it works.

There are config files inside those folders, there is no need for another one. I am sorry but I can’t really understand why it doesn’t work in your game, you seem to have done everything right. I will have to think about it, I’m afraid I don’t have a solution right now.

Hi Johnny it’s me again, I have manage to get faces on players and backgrounds on my game. I got the correct competition names as well, but when trying to get the logos for the competitions and the teams, I just can not get them, I have tried all night and I downloaded the torrent, but it downloads just normal, as in it has no program to open with, and it is only 10gb, what could the problem be?

A torrent file can be opened with a program that is designed for that, I use uTorrent. It’s with such a program that you can download what is «behind» the torrent file. That is if I understood what you wanted to tell me, you seem to be throwing loads of stuff into a single phrase.

Ok I’ve downloaded the torrent using uTorrent, and where do I now put the file, do I extract it into football manager 2011 through documents and sports interactive?

The instructions are provided in the post:
1. Extract the archive file to > my documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2011 >
2. Open FM 2011, go to Preferences > Display and Sound and uncheck use skin cache and check always reload skin on confirm. Then click on “confirm” and wait for the skin to reload. Then the logos and flags should appear in your game.

I don’t know Ollie, something might be wrong there but I can’t really guess what it is. My suggestion is to go through the previous comments and see whether you can find a solution from the answers I gave to other readers.

yeah when u start a game ye choose what countrys like england scotland nothing comes up and you have to use recommend choice needhelp with what folders to put them iin thanks

It’s all written in the post, the folders where you have to put the files and all that. My guess is that you have put the files in the wrong place and you might have deleted other game files in the process, that’s why those flags are not showing.

Im having real trouble with this one, i downloaded them, extracted the files and everythings fine, but its not in my current save or new save? Also thank you for advice on the facepack it really helped

It has nothing to do with the save, you don’t have to start a new game to have the logos. So I guess there’s something else you have done wrong in there, check the instructions again and you might also want to take a look at the previous comments for solutions.

There was a problem with it only being 852mb, i deleted them, downloaded again, and its all there and accounted for, in all the right files. But its just going on to my save. Sorry for being a pest

I downloaded it and when i wanted to extract files in right folder, it comes till 99% and it writes : Files are corrupt or sum like that. Then i saw in the directory of FM11 that the files are on their place, and i got to the game menu, did everything ok and it won’t change logos. What to do ?

Are you sure that all the files are in the right folder? If there was an error during extraction some files might be missing. It’s not a big problem if some of the pictures are missing, the others should work, but if the config file is missing then it won’t work.

These downloads are brilliant, this is the last one I’m doing but it seems easier than the others, is it right that all I need to do is use Bittorrent to download the .zip file, and then extract it into the location in your instructions, that’s all?!

I’ve already created a graphics folder there for the faces in your other download, now I get an error message asking if I want to merge the two folders…do I want to merge them?!? lol, cheers

No, you shouldn’t merge them I guess. Just extract to another destination, like your desktop, and them move the logos folder into its place.

I have a strange one Johny,
Large badges are fine, smaller ones are fine except for Premier League clubs (which still show the old logos) also the Premier League, and english cups competition badges have not changed…any ideas? Cheers

That is a strange one, if most of the badges show then all of them should show if they are placed in the same folder. I suggest moving everything that is in the «Metallic Logos FM11» folder directly into the «logos» folder and then re-starting the game, that does the trick sometimes.

Still no joy I’m afraid. I am missing the small Premier League logos and all of the competition logos. I have downloaded the entire pack again and tried it with and without the «Metallic Logos FM11» folder and this has changed nothing. Any more ideas?

I suspect that something went wrong during extraction, those files are probably missing from the extracted folder. I don’t know which program you used to extract the files but I suggest trying 7-zip.

If you don’t know how to download a file then I think there’s not much I can do to help you. Basically you just have to click on a link and save a file to your computer, not too difficult. About extracting, first you have to download and install a program called 7-zip (you can google it) and then check out this video tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwwPOrpQGfQ
Or maybe ask someone who knows a thing or two about computers to install this pack for you.

sorry johnny i noe dis is irrelevant but i was downloading sm addons and i downloaded kits for epl. then i did wat u normally do on display and sound and all of a sudden on tactics my shirts wont even show. nt even the old default ones. they only show on club information. this i really stressing me/ ive even tried reinstalling fm 11 so please can u help. i dnt even want the kits anymore i just want the default ones back. can u plz assist me

Works well and they look great though i do have a problem when it comes to the tactics page and the formation pitch. The shirt graphics are no longer there it’s just an empty pitch with the coloured dots representing if they are in the right position, could you help?

Are you sure you didn’t copy the files to some other folder too apart from the one that is mentioned in the instructions? That’s the only thing I can think of because that shouldn’t happen and it hasn’t happened when I installed the pack.

Check the documents/sports interactive/football manager 2011/graphics folder and see if the logos are in there (they should be in order for it to work). Inside the «graphics» folder you should have a folder named «pictures» and another two folders inside that one: «flags» and «logos».

Alright, I understand what happened there. You should have the «graphics» folder inside documents/sports interactive/football manager 2011, so I guess you could either move it from the “FM11 Metallic Logos” or if you already have a documents/sports interactive/football manager 2011/graphics folder move the «pictures» folder inside that one.

sorry to bother you again mate but i have done what you said and the thing that has worked is the club logo. the small logos in the league table have not worked as well as competition logos havent worked.

Hey Johnny the packs look great but I can’t use torrents so I had to download the 3 part packs. The problem is that the packs are called for example ‘Metallic.zip.001’ which leads my computer to recognise it as a ‘001’ file meaning I can’t extract it.
Is there any way around this problem?

Install 7-zip and then right click on that 001 file and select extract, that should unpack all the three parts at once.

Just whatever the default program is for windows. I go on extract all (after selecting the advised directory) and then it just freezes, which is odd.

Thank you for your continued patience. It was my mistake I thought the 7 zip thing was for the 3 part download only. Anyway so all the club logos have come up so thanks :)
Were small logos in the megapack, like ones for the league tables? Also is there FA cup/League Cup/Champions League/EPL competition logos in the pack? Because if there are they haven’t shown up.

Small logos and competition logos are included, maybe there was a problem with the extraction or something like that because they should show in your game.

Been a while since i have been on this site as not had much computer time over the last year and only just got round to getting FM2011. before playing i have been grabbing the facepacks etc but had trouble with this logo one, keep getting unexpected end of archive in the first file and have downloaded twice but still no joy. Anyone know of somewhere else where i can get the whole thing or just part 1? Have had the torrent on go for 3 days now but not picked up a single seed and really want this as premiership just looks a bit pants without the proper logos.

You know I have unrared / unzipped hundreds of files over the years — probably more in fact but i have never had so many problems as i do with the FM zipped up files.
I have extracted the files and now have a file called Metallic.zip which is approx 1.6gb but 7zip nor winrar can open this one either, still says its damaged or unable to open as archive.

Johnny, i got it wrong it wasnt chesterfield or Dorchester is was Chester, the game that ended up being corrupt and after that you took the on the Spartans. Now that was a great read.

Managed in the end to extract what I had and ended up losing some of the premiership logos so grabbed the missing ones from a different premiership only pack and all seems to have worked ok.

Kudos to you for putting this up. However, after spending close to a week downloading this very large zip file, I tried to extract it and all i got was a message saying the zip is corrupted. Im very gutted, to be honest, and I sorta feel like I’ve wasted a great deal of time. Is there anyway to fix this? If not, are there any other logos made by others I (and other fans of the game) can download? I’m really enjoying FM 2011. It’s the first FM game I ever played, but it’s a bit rubbish when I can’t play as United with the United Logo and all that…

Glen, did you download from the torrent or from the mega upload? The mega upload was corrupted for me too and not having any pars was not helpful but managed to unzip and in the end got it from torrents. If you are really stuck give me a shout on here and will try to host on my server for you in one download rather than split rars.

I think you can find some answers in the comments to the facepack post, the bottom line is that you should have all the pieces before extracting and click extract only on the first piece as that will unpack the whole archive.

You have to extract to the same folder as mentioned in the instructions, it should work with most skins.

I’m following the instructions to the letter but there is no difference in my game whatsoever. All logo’s are still the sad generic original ones. Can someone also plz explain why the file is promoted as a 2GB file but when I am brought to http://www.sendspace.com/file/tz2r9g from either here or fmscout the file is shown as only 10.91KB.

The small file is a torrent file, you will have to open it with a torrent client (like uTorrent for instance) which will then download the «big» file for you.
