As you already know I have never tried to create a training schedule on my own so I always relied on the schedules that were created by people like Tug or DarkStarr for the previous versions of the game. They didn’t come up with a schedule for Football Manager 2011 yet though, that’s the bad news, but the good news is that I found a solid-looking training regime for Football Manager 2011 made by Ian C.
Ian posted it over at FM-Base and the people that have tested it so far were quite pleased with the results. I have tried it too and I have to say that it went well so far. The pack contains schedules for full time players, part time players and youth players, all personalized for each position on the pitch: goalkeeper, fullback, wingback, central defender, defensive midfielder, central midfielder, attacking midfielder, winger, striker, target man. You can download the schedules directly from the source by clicking on the image below.
After downloading you should have a schedules.rar archive file that you should extract to My Documents>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2011 and after extraction you should have a «schedules» folder in there with three other folders inside of it like shown in the screen shots below.
Then you have to open your FM 2011 game, go to training>schedules and click on «manage schedules».
A window will pop up and you will have to select which schedules to import.
Once you have selected all the necessary schedules that you want to import select them and just click OK.
The schedules should now be imported in your game and the last thing that you will have to do is assigning your players to the appropriate schedules like shown in the screen shot.
This training regime has worked well for my Vauxhall team until now despite our poor training facilities and weak coaches. Any feedback on it is highly appreciated and, as you already know, you can always come here if you need help.

FM-Base is going through a server upgrade, that’s why. Things should be back to normal shortly.

hey could someone be a kind soul and email me the zip file?
I can’t seem to download from fm base.
the Wait Timer is always on, like it counts down from 200 seconds, and when it’s done the timer resets again and I’m perpetually waiting.
thanks.

Thanks. I’ve been a big fan of Tugs training schedules since FM 08, so if this is a similar one then it’ll no doubt be just as good.
Johnny Karp

Unfortunately Tugs didn’t release a schedule for FM 2011, maybe he will at some point. This one is pretty good though.

Johnny,
Quick Question mate. Why don’t you create a training schedule for each player.
I’ve done so in my game and I start at very heavy and then reduce slowly, if players start complaining. Some settle at heavy, some at moderate.
I mean, difference can’t be that much…..or am I wrong???
Shed some light on this for me please…
Cheers

You can make schedules for each player but I didn’t feel the need to do that because I rarely had players complaining about the training workloads. That’s probably because I choose to transfer hard working players.

Follow up question if I may?
How do you know which players will be hardworking? Is it Work Rate and Determination? Or is it their character? Or Combination?
Furthermore, how should I set up my scouting screen view to purchase only ‘hard-working players’.
Regards
Workoutdude….
PS Thank you for helping out. I’m thinking seriously of starting a blog with my own story. I was thinking of asking you a few questions with regards to it.
Let me know if this is the best place for this, or some other avenue….TQ in advance.

Sure you may :) Generally I think that high work rate makes for a good hard working player but determination also is a good attribute to have. About the blog questions, I guess the best way would be to join the social network and discuss it there: https://www.footballmanagerstory.com/socialnetwork/

I downloaded the schedules, but they’re extremely light, lighter than the default training schedules. Are they supposed to be that way? I’m not sure I want to be using them… Do they really work? I haven’t always been getting the best results out of my players, is that because I’ve been training them too hard?
Johnny Karp
27 марта, 2011 at 12:19
I’m not a training expert, that’s why I use these ready-made schedules in the first place. But I have to say that, in theory, training hard might not always give the best results. Anyway, this schedule worked pretty well for me and some other managers as well so I guess you could give it a try and see for yourself.

I’m sorry, the original download location doesn’t seem to be available anymore. I can’t seem to find any alternative links either so I guess we should wait and hope that it will be reinstated. If not, I will try to upload them somewhere from my computer.

You can find some great advice on staff here: https://www.footballmanagerstory.com/2011/03/the-football-manager-2011-backroom-staff-guide/
I don’t understand the keeper question though, you already have a very good one in Victor Valdes.

Johnny Karp

Hello Johhny, i’m new in FM.What is different Part time and full time schedules ?
Johnny Karp
2 сентября, 2011 at 06:58
Hi. Part time schedules are useful for players that are on part time contracts, usually at lower league semi-professional clubs. Full time schedules are for regular professional players who are on full time contracts.
