I’m pretty happy with the FM 2013 default skin but I know that some of you like their FM 2013 skin dark. I think I found the right choice for you: the Steklo X3 skin, made by the legendary Tom Dixon. It’s easy to install and it also gives you the possibility to choose from various backgrounds and also to choose between various levels of opacity. But first let’s see how FM 2013 looks like with this skin installed.

Steklo Skin Background chooser
After you install the skin you will notice a small button on the top left, as shown in the screen shot below.
If you click that button you will be able to choose from various backgrounds and also set the level of opacity that you like the most, you can choose 2o%, 40%, 60% or 80%.
Download the FM 2013 Dark Skin by clicking the image link below. (clicking the download button will take you to the original source, sortitoutsi.net)
How to install FM 2013 dark skin
1. Extract the downloaded file to Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2013 > skins. If the «skins» folder doesn’t exist, just create it yourself. For extracting the file I recommend using a free program called 7-zip.
2. Go to your game preferences and select the skin from the drop-down menu, as shown in the screen shot below.

I’ve used this skin since Fm 12 and it is an amazing skin :) Personally I think the Olympic Stadium Background is the best considering I went there :P But I would recommend it to anyone

have you tried the Carbon Skin for Fm 13?….

It’s a nice skin, the missing «continue» button on match day screen is a bit annoying though.

I noticed it but to be honest its not too much of an issue manually finding the opp instructions, team talk and then pressing space bar at the end.

Yes, you have to register to get access to the downloads. It takes just a couple of minutes though.

I can’t change the skin. I put the ‘skins’ into Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2013 > exact what you’ve said above. But it doesn’t show in drop-down menu. Please help.

You should have the following in this folder: Documents > Sports Interactive > Football Manager 2013 > skins:
— a steklo_x3 folder
— a file named config
