Hi everyone!
So am back again with the half season update in my Coruxo story, after having some house problems due to a leaking pipe rotting some of the floorboards causing a hole to appear in the ceiling of my living room I have had the very exciting task of phoning and filling out insurance forms to fix the problem.
Thankfully Barcelona managed to progress in the champions league so at least that cheered me up after a pretty annoying week!!
So on to my story! Last time I posted the players who had the task of keeping us in la liga as my Coruxo side were heavily tipped for relegation. This post will take us up to December and the winter break so lets have a look at how my little side got on!!
————————————
September Results
Yes, you are reading correctly my tiny Coruxo side stunned the mighty Real Madrid as we won six four in an amazing game! It may have looked like a fluke but my side were four zero up after 37 minutes! I will post the report and highlights at the end of the post so you can see the greatest victory in Coruxo history!
We tried to out attack Valencia but we lost four two, but we bounced back with a good win over Mallorca with Agirrexte and Henrique scoring and Graca came off the bench to seal a very good win. A really poor result followed at Betis as we lost four one and then another bad result as we failed to take any chances and could only draw with Las Palmas.
October Results
October brought only two points as we held Espanyol to a draw away from home, the impressive Paulo Henrique with our equaliser. That followed a similar result as we got another point against Almeria, Karacan with a late reply to save what could be a vital point.
Away at Atletico was always a big ask to get anything and a Sergio Aguero hat-trick made sure we would leave empty handed, Agirrexte added a late consolation for my side.
November Results
November began with a hard luck story as we managed to lose the game at Sporting despite playing the best football we have played since beating Real Madrid first game of the season, Carvalho and Palacios gave us a deserved 2-1 lead only to lose two poor goals and all the points.
We bounced back to win a hard fought game at Zaragoza after being one down we equalised through Agirrexte and a 93 minute header from N’Diaye was our reward and a vital three points. We then had back to back wins for the first time this season as a Zerbini goal was enough to seal a win over Getafe.
Then two defeats as Osasuna and Villarreal both outplayed us and a dissapointing end of the month.
December Results
That was five straight defeats as we had a really bad December, Sevilla came back after a goal down to win by two goals to one and then in a big game at the bottom we blew our chance after a heavy away defeat at Tenerife. We couldnt recapture our early magic form as Barcelona beat us very easily as we slide down the table.
The League Table
So after 16 games we are only one point from the drop zone, a major surprise to see Villarreal below us. We are on a bad run of five defeats but with the window opening in January I will do my best to bring in some extra players to try and lift the team. We made a decent start but bad results followed another and we are in a releagtion battle.
I am determined not to get relegated! Like my last game with Real Union but we are following in the same pattern as that so will try everything to pull away from the bottom!
That Game Against Real Madrid!
So thats it! I hope you enjoyed my victory over Real Madrid, I know I did! But it was a rare highlight in an otherwise dissapointing season so far. We need some new faces so will do my best to solve that but I dont want to spend too much incase we are relegated and have to pay out more in wages.
Its a difficult balance but hopefully we can re-discover our early season promise and start to climb away from the bottom of the league. Again thanks for reading but January fixtures are not too kind to us as we travel away three times in four games including an away trip to the Bernabeu!

Thanks Sears!
I was pleased with the win! They got relegated (Bibao) this season, infact I was offered the job to take them over! I probably should have posted it but I dont usually post job offers.

Congrats on the win at Madrid!
Wasn’t the best of starts in La Liga but your avoiding relegation as it stands. Only 5 more points to midtable so your not far off.
Good luck!

Thanks Excessive!
It hasnt been a great start but I would say at times we are just a bit unlucky, at times we can play some great football but defensive mistakes especially from corners always seems to cost us.

Great victory over Real Madrid Ana, what a game! Your team score a lot of goals, but also concede too many, so hopefully you can bring a good defender in to stop the goals against you. You’ve got a good chance of staying up, I reckon you’ll do it. Good luck!

Thanks Laxeyman,
Yeah, story of my teams! Score lots conceed lots its pretty hard to find the balance at the moment as I would say Kaka and Valiente are defiantly la liga quality at the back. Maybe my approach is too attacking, may need to change a few things around.

Hi Ana! First of all, I’m sorry for your pipe problems, I’ve had one busting up inside the kitchen wall last December and it was a total nightmare. But then again, you beat Real Madrid! That’s one for the history books, definitely! I’m going to share the highlights on the video website, that one deserves as many eyeballs as possible. Vamos Coruxo!

Thanks Johnny,
It was my best victory in FM I think! You can share it with everybody! I was so surprised when I watched it back the goals we scored were all great goals!

Ola Ana
I had a flooded basement one time so I can sympathise with your problem and hopefully it won’t take too long to sort out. Anyway, stunning win over Real Madrid, waht a delight that must have been for you and based on your pedigree I’m sure we will see you lift Coruxo from the drop zone. Good luck!

Thanks Kevin,
Apparently my insurance will cover the cost to repair the plumbing and to fix the pipes, but we have to pay the damage to the roof.
It was a delight! I hope I can climb away from the relagation places, will be difficult though!

Hey Ana.
Let me start by saying how sorry I am to hear about the problems at home. I have had similar paper work when in a car accident and I know how frustrating it can be. I really hope the mess gets cleaned up soon.
Back to your game, what a stunning result against Real Madrid, fantastic!! You’re just above the relegation zone and the form seems to be dropping. I think you need a good few signings to regain a bit of momentum. With this you’ll avoid relegation. Good luck Ana. :)

Thanks Darren,
Thankfully no one was hurt and the stuff below the roof wasnt breakable as my TV etc were on the other side we do have pay the damage for the roof though which will be quite expensive I think.
I agree! A few new faces may give us a lift, we have a bit of money to spend I just have use it wisely!

Hi Ana,
Sorry to hear about your house problem. Hope everything is fine now.
That was a real upset over Real Madrid. You are struggling in the rest of the games and hope the players you bring in January will be able to help you climb up the table Good luck.

Thanks Lye,
I agree we are stuggling, I must admit we look a bit out of our depth but fingers crossed for a better end of season.

Hi Ana,
Hope the major problems are behind you now :)
A fantastic win against Real Madrid, but I think the players got complacent after that, hopefully they will step up their game

Thanks Josh! :)
As always with problems like this they tend to drag on so am hoping it will be fixed very soon.
I agree but also we lack a bit of squad depth, a few injuries and am forced into using first division players who are just not good enough.

Brilliant win vs Madrid! I wouldn’t say it’s a bad start at all, only two points seperate you and 11 so 1 win can do a lot! I think you need faces to bring a buzz around the place. Good Luck
Ana Garcia

Thanks Sayam!
I guess, just a few bad results and five defeats has soured the mood a little. But we are only half way! So still have plenty of games to save ourselves and hopefully survive another season!

Hey Ana,
Great result against Real Madrid, I still can’t believe it. At first I thought it was their reserves and it was a friendly! I guess after that your team got too overconfident and drew or lost most of their games.
