Hi everyone! So this is the new post at the beginning of my brand new season and if you remember we suffered more playoff heartache after yet again suffering defeat so I decided to sell off a large amount of my squad and re-build it with better players.

Lets have a look at the pre -season!
Transfers Out
So I sold a few players that really dissapointed me including Markel and Angel. I decided to sell my goalkeeper after finding a better one and I also sold Bernando as part of his loan deal. I raised some good funds and I did manage to strengthen my side so lets have a look at the new faces :
Sunny
My first signing was Sunny who was released by his fromer club and was once at Valencia. He was born in Nigeria but decided to play for Spain and has won a youth cap. He is a defensive midfielder and will be a starter in my side.
Cheikh Gueye
My next signing was another freebie as I found this fullback who will be my starting right back. A well rounded player so am fairly pleased with this find.
Mario
So I mentioned earlier that I bought a new goalkeeper and here he is! I managed again to get Mario on a free transfer and will be my starting goalkeeper. He is alot better than my previous one and is also younger.
Alassane N’Diaye
Yes you guessed it! Another freebie and I couldnt turn down this powerfull 6’4» central midfield player. He can also play at centre back at a push but I think he will also be part of my starting lineup replacing Samuel. Another good signing for my team.
Matthew Amoah
So on the last FM I wrote a story for a site which sadly is no longer here but I managed to buy this player on it and he did brilliant for me. When I saw I could get him on a free transfer I couldnt resist despite his age he is still a very good player, will be more of a rotation player but he is a good goalscorer!
Paulo Henrique
My final signing was Henrique and I payed £120k, plus another £100K over 24 months and a 35% sell on fee and that all combined got me a very promising Brazilian centre forward. He will probably be a starter as I cant depend on Carlos who is now 36! He will probably partner Berigaud to lead the attack for my side this season.
Pre — Season
We had a money spinning tour as we cashed in our success with some friendly games across the globe and it earned us about a half a million pounds, which is fantastic for the financial state of the club and has already payed back the Paulo Henrique transfer!
So thats it! My next post will be a halfway post as usual taking us into December/January and again thanks for reading!

Some excellent signings and I really like the look of both Sunny and Henrique who I remember were quite a good signing in previous football manager series’s so hopefully they can prove their worth.

Thanks, I was very pleased to have signed them and both will be be starters in my team. I did have Sunny on a previous game and he did do well so am hoping for some similar performances!

Yeah I like Sunny also but Henrique was my best signing I think as I spent the whole time trying to sign him!
Was glad the deal finally was done and hopefully he can score the goals we need!

Promotion is my target and with the squad I have it should be achievable. Henrique should be excellent in this league but am really happy with the squad depth that we have.

Good signings Ana, you’ve really strengthened the attack and midfield and all the players bought should serve you well this season. Hopefully you can have a good campaign, if the friendly results are anything to go by then you should be in for a successful season. Good luck!

My defence was outstanding last season so I decided to keep it as it is, but I needed to replace some of the poor midfield players I signed and I needed to replace Carlos! Who to be fair has been excellent for me.
Yeah a good amount of wins and alot of money also!

That was a lucrative summer, both in terms of income and players. The new signings add a lot of strength and talent to an already good team, I predict there will be no more playoffs this time as you will finish top! ;) Good luck!

Yeah I didnt know you could make that much money from freindly games! But its a great way for our small teams to get some extra revenue!
I am really pleased with all my new players and I will definatly be aiming for an automatic place!!

Well done on some great signings Ana, Henrique looks very capable and you did the right thing in getting rid of some flops!! I’m looking forward to the season ahead and hoping for a change in fortune if the play-offs are required. :) Though I agree with Johnny, you can finish top.

Yeah and the flops were on big wages too so I really needed to get rid of them! Berigaud was brilliant last season so I have high hopes for Henrique to do well.
Will do my best to gain promotion and to avoid the playoff’s if we can!!

Hi Ana,
I have signed Sunny (21 years of age) from Valencia for £950,000 in my first season as Birmingham City manager — backup to Barry Ferguson and Lee Bowyer — hoping he will develop into a first team regular — interesting to see how his stats have slightly improved at 25 years old.
My first season — played 15 (won 5, drawn 3, lost 7); currently in 13th poisition in the Premier League.

I think you did the right thing as he is a promising player with plenty of room for development. At Valencia he never really played so I got him for nothing after he was released.
Am sure he can turn into a first team player and I think he will do well for you! Nice to hear how you are getting on in your season! Will be interesting to hear were you finished.

Sorry for the late reply. Great pre season results and some very nice signings in Sunny and N’Diaya. They have fantastic stamina so they can say on the field all day in th DM role. good luck!

Yeah I like both of them! I will play Sunny as a DM but I will be playing N’Diye as a central midfield player but hopefully they will both do well!

Sunny and Paulo Henrique look like tremendous signings. Sunny should protect the defense whilst Henrique will score loads for you. Your defo a title contender this season Ana, good luck!

Sunny was a great buy and has played really well in pre-season, Henrique joined quite late but I was impressed with the performances I did see from him so am fairly confident of a good season!
