Hi everyone….. Another update of my Bury FC story, this time December 2011!
The first four games of this month ended in wins. As usual Wellington Silva was the main player! He scored four goals and is much better than my other strikers.
After this game we had a long brake up untill 26th december where we would play 15th placed Rotherham. This was the start of a busy period of 3 games in 6 days so i had to plan for the other games also. Along with the Rotherham game, I had an eye on the Southampton game also which would take play 2 days later and that would be much harder as they were challenging for the title. I decided to make changed for the Rotherham game and player a whole new back four along with other changes. This is what it resulted in: :-(
We were back to full strenght for our next game against Southampton, and despite all of my rotation and plans, it resulted in 0 points for 6. :-( On top of that Robbie Brady missed a penalty and Sam Sodge picked up a fifth yellow card which would suspend him for the next game.
We had one more game left in the month, we couldn’t afford three defeats in a row. We were against Oldham at home, 7,000 fans turned up. The first half was pretty even. Guilaume Norbert picked up an injury which would keep him out for 3 weeks. In the second half, once again Wellington Silva scored and Daniel De Ridder finished completed the win for us.
Despite the 2 defeats, I was given manager of the month with 5 wins out of 7.
The league table saw us sitting first….

Hi Sayam, that was a good month despite the two defeats and you’re still top which is important. You’re looking good for promotion and I hope you do it. Good luck!

The start of that month was fantastic Sayam, unfortunately the end saw some very tough opponents. Either way you’re top and looking very strong. I reckon we’ll be reading about Bury on the Championship next season :) Good luck mate

Hi Sayam,
December is always the months which teams can lose a lot of points as there are a lot of games to play. I thought you did pretty well winning five out of the seven. You are still leading by three points and things are still looking good. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Good month Sayam your loan of Welington Silva has already been a good move as he seems to be in great form!
Like Johnny said top at December isnt a bad thing top any time is a good thing!
