Welcome folks to my first post about my story with Newcastle United. My team are currently in the Coca-Cola Championship and my goal this year is to get them back promoted to the English Premier League.
Transfers
I was given a good transfer budget of £1.5 million but because of the poor financial position at Newcastle (£100 million debt!) I decided not to use any of it. I managed to get two Premier League quality players on loan though…..
The loan acquisitions of Aaron Ramsey and Kiko Macheda were amazing for me. Have a look at their stats:
Aaron Ramsey
He is a great player whom I think was a great snap by myself and I was surprised that Arsenal had allowed him to go out on loan. Here is my other gem, Federico Macheda.

I am not surprised that Man Utd let him go considering his age and I am sure that he shall develop hugely with consistent first team football. I know of Macheda’s ability myself as I am a Man Utd fan and I am 100% confident he will score plenty goals in the Championship. I feel that the signings of Ramsey and Macheda will be a massive benefit to us.
Friendlies
I do not play my friendlies so I tend not to pay too much attention to them but here they are anyway:
They were a good work out for the team and I am satisfied with the results :)

Nice transfers-i’m sure you’ll get promoted first season. Try and get yannick djalo from Lisbon. Quality player for me, 40 goals for just 800k

From what I remember the squad is pretty good so with these two loanees you should be pretty well covered. Good luck!

Shouldn’t have any real problems getting promoted but that debt is more than i expected for Newcastle, then again I’m not too into the English premier league.
Newcastle has a very good team already and with Ramsey and Macheda you get some added flair.

Awesome signings there, very surprised Arsenal let one of their great youngsters go, but I guess it’s only on loan.

@Majk: Yes, the squad is now very strong now and I hope I can get promoted relitively easily.
@MasterfulVivi: I was very surprised too that Arsenal let him go as he is certainly good enough for the Premier League.
@Lye: Yes, the squad morale seems to be a bit happier after these two signings (maybe they brought in some enthusiasm).

Having experience of taking Newcastle to the Premier League you should find it quite easy to get them back into the Premier League at the first attempt. I loaned Macheda in my first season as well and he was one of my players of the season.
Hopefully you will get pormoted and we will see how well you do in the Premiership.
