Ana — FM 2011 : Seoul, Season 16

Hola everyone! :)

Hope you are well and I will now bring another season in my challenge, last time we were very unlucky to lose in the Asian champions league so I was hoping for better this time. I feel we have a very good chance as my Seoul side continues to grow.

So this will wrap up season 16 so again it will be quite long to read, but it has lots of pictures in it!

So this is my CV so far, anything in red was won last post and the pink is for a Champions league win.

———————————————

Transfers In First Window

So again a bunch of regen players but I will post the better ones as I bought two Koreans and Mauricio who has Korean citizenship. My only foreign buy was Baiano from Brazil so here are the new players :

Song Yong- H0

So a fairly good goalkeeper who is better than the one I have now, is also Korean so no problems with squad status etc I payed £35k for him.

Fernando Baiano

Bought as a young talent who could develop into a first team player, another promising player from Brazil he is a centre back.

Mauricio

Bought more as a back-up player he is a central midfield player who has Korean citizenship so again I have no problems with registering him in my squad.

The Halfway Point

Well its as easy as you would like but we have been brilliant so far, as results and our league position suggests. No defeats and only two points dropped all season with a massive goal advantage and its all too easy at the moment!

But all could change with the news I will bring to you now!

Transfers In And Out and The Loss Of Our Biggest Player!!!

Yes he has left! My amazing striker Olawale has departed I did everything I could to keep him but the money was just too much for this club.

He was defiantly worth more than £5 million and I will struggle to get anyone close to him so now my season is in danger I felt with Olawale the Asian champions league was winnable, now I am not that sure.

I did replace him with the £600k payed for Caballero so lets see if he can replace the iconic Nigerian.

Carlos Caballero

Ok so he is not amazing compared to Olawale but he is the best I could get in the time I had. He is obviously a striker but can he fill the gap left? Only time will tell I guess!

Here are Olawale stats to show how much of a loss he is!!

Welcome To Cairo!!

Welcome to Egypt! I am now the national coach of, and it seems Africa loves me as I am back again! Thats Morocco, Senegal and now Egypt and my goal is to win the African cup of Nations with my new team. A challenge but its always nice to try something else so I will post our three best players that Egypt currently have.

Amr Said

Ahmed Abdullah

Islam Ibrahim

So the players posted all play in Europe Said is a goalkeeper who is at Juventus, Abdullah is a central defender who is also in Italy at Inter Milan whilst Ibrahim is an attacking left sided player who plays for Arsenal.

All are more squad players than key members but am hoping I can bring success to Egypt!

Final League Games Of The Season

So we didnt manage to remain unbeaten all season losing two games in the second half of the season. For some reason I forgot to take a picture of the playoff final but we did win and comfortably too.

So we managed to regain our third title in a row so was pleased with that and that is that as they say!!

Final Player Ratings

So a real shame in losing Olawale but his replacement didnt do too bad scoring 16 times in 20 games.

My captain Shin Hyun lead the way scoring goals and creating chances for others but my whole team were fantastic, this team is set to dominate Korean football for a while so the future looks bright for FC Seoul.

Cup Competitions

The Pan Pacific Championship

The Final

So we managed to regain our pan-pacific trophy but even better news was that the team we met in the final Saitama UTD are the current Asian champions league holders! So having beat them my hopes of having a good champions league run have increased.

Korean League Cup

I really hate this format they have in the league cup but we didnt play to well in it anways. We were lucky just to get out of group but were well beaten by Seongnam in the quarter finals, I cant blame bad luck this time we were hopeless!

The Asian Champions League

The Final

Two down three to go! ;)

Olawale fired us through the opening stages as he destoyed teams that couldnt handle his pace and power, I was really worried when we lost in Japan at Saitama but we got through after a fine home win.

The final was a nervy affair but the new man Caballero scored a lovely winner from 25 yards to seal the deal!

The Club World Championship

So before I left I took part in this trophy and after a fantastic five zero opening win we were humbled by Bayern but gave them a really good game, penalties meant we lost to Corinthians and finished fourth which isnt too bad I guess!

Manager Profiles And Some Stats

And Finally!

So thats the end of my journey in Korea but I still have three other continents to crack! I also have the African cup of Nations to look forward too with Egypt for some reason I made a lot of enemies in South Africa!

Other managers seemed to really dislike me so thats why most have a bad opinion of me! For the first time ever on FM I have 100% in Domestic player Bias!! Mostly from my time in South Africa as I couldnt seem to sign anyone from abroad!

I am now world class so I should be able to get a decent job in either North America, South America or Europe. I guess I would like to do South America next but anywhere will do as both South Korea and South Africa are completed.

Again thanks for reading such a long post! I try to write as little as possible but also try to give as much info as possible which is a hard balance to find! My next post will be with my brand new club with the usual mix of confusion and complex rule changes to get my head around so hopefully you will look forward to that!

So until then bye for now and wish me luck! :)

    Hey Ana
Great job on winning the Asian Champions League and the league. I think you can win the African Cup of Nations easily with Egypt. Olawale was amazing, you were unlucky to lose him.

      Thanks Vaibhavc!

There are some really good African sides so it will be difficult to win the cup of nations but we can only try!

Olawale was brilliant but at least I got a good profit for him!

Well done Ana!! Fantastic achievement. Winning the league with such ease, then the Champions League despite the exit of the best player ever to grace Asia. :) So cool your replacement striker scored the all important winner in the final! Can’t wait to see where you end up!!

After losing Olawale I felt my chance had gone but my faith in Caballero paid off, like you said as he scored the goal we needed in the final!

    Hola Ana
Felicidades!!! You dominated the Korean league as I pretty much expected you would and very well done at picking up the Asian Champions League too. Caballero was a pretty good replacement for your top player. Looking forward to seeing who you join next and your profile picture is very nice too :)

      Gracias Kevin! :)

I was lucky to get such a good team like Seoul who already had a pretty good team. Agreed he did well to fill the void left by my best ever player, and I should have a update in a few day I hope!

    Hey Ana,

Another great season and I am really pleased for you that you got the Champion’s League! A small word of advice, if you are considering North America I think Mexican teams are far stronger for the North American Champion’s League, and because of your reputation you could get a good club like Guadalajara (Chivas) and dominate the league too!

    • Ana Garcia

      16 апреля, 2011 at 15:17

      Thanks Sibo!,

Thanks for the advice! I only chose Mexico so I will have to manage their so I can win the North American CL. I would like to get Club America the team my Dad supports, but I will just see whats available!

    Hey Ana,

Brilliant victory in the final, eve without your amazing striker you got the win, showing you that your team didn’t revolve around one player :). I can’t wait to see who you are managing!

Congratulations Ana, you did a remarkable job in South Korea! I’m quite curious to see which will be your new club but until then I wish you the best of luck with Egypt, there seems to be some good talent in the squad. And a quick joke to wrap up the comment: you seem to be still looking great at the age of 40! :)

hot girls that love football manager….ME WANT….

you said you hadnt gone undefeated in a league during ur first Seoul campaign but im pretty sure you had in africa and almost did back 2 back years?

    • jacob

      18 апреля, 2011 at 09:42

also when you say you are using a 4-4-2 do you mean the tactic you have on here available to download? or the traditional 442?….also how come it took you 6 months to find a job at the beginning? were you applying at specific places, i did sunday footballer and just clicked apply all for any vacant jobs and got offered by a few (im actually at FCAK right now myself (they start with a 400k xfer budget….sadly nobody wants to sign with me)

      • Ana Garcia

        18 апреля, 2011 at 21:24

        Hi Jacob,

Having looked back I was only undefeated at South China but that does not count really as it was such an unfair league!

In terms of tactics I use a pretty basic 4-4-2 that I made but it is different from the one posted.

It took me a while to get started as I didnt really want to start in South Africa so I waited for a job elsewhere and quite liked Cheonan when I saw them so accepted that.

My advice is stick to scouting South Africa and do your best to upgrade you youth and training and after a few years with really good facilities you can produce some really talented youth players that you can use or sell.

Anyways good luck on your journey, keep posting and let me know how you are doing.

        :)

did you have problems signing players when you were F.C.A.K ??? i swear 1 in about 50 players want to come to me

          • Ana Garcia

            20 апреля, 2011 at 18:35

            Hi Jacob,

I did, its pretty frustrating but eventually you will find players good enough to join you.

I never worked out the work permit rule in South Africa but if you do you may be able to sign players from abroad.
