Ana – FM 2011: F.C.A.K, Season Ten

Hey everyone! Sorry for such a long delay in posts just my boyfriend has returned home from working away for about a year. As you can imagine it was a very difficult time for us both due to the long spells in which we wouldnt see each other so its a relief he is finally home!

So my free time has been pretty much been taken up with spending my time with him, but I have been slowly getting through my season a few games at a time!

I did manage to finish my tenth season and in all honesty didnt feel like I had spent that amount of time on this game! But if you remember (feels like ages ago!) that I finally won promotion to the South African Premier league with F.C.A.K so this was my first official season in the top flight.

My goal if you have forgotten is to win all the champions league’s around the world and so far I havent even come close to any! Will that change?

Well read on and find out! :)

Career History :

— Cheonan (July 2010 – January 2013)

— South China (June 2013 – June 2016)

— F.C.A.K (December 2016 – Present)

International Teams

— Morocco (Febraury 2015 – December 2016)

Honours :

Hong Kong League Title : 2014, 2015, 2016 (South China)

Senior Shield : 2013, 2016 (South China)

League Cup : 2014, 2015, 2016 (South China)

Asian Confederation Cup : 2014, 2016 (South China)

South African First Division :  2018, 2019 (FCAK)

South African First Divison Cup : 2019 (FCAK)

Just to clarify this is my career up to my last post, so will not include any of the things I will win in this post. Hope that makes sense! Anything in red was won last year to keep people updated!

Transfers In And Out First Transfer Window

As this was my first ever season in the big league I decided to retain all my players who helped me win promotion last season. Also I manged to add one or two so will show them now :

Beijoca

So his name isnt very South African! Thats because he was born in Brazil but he is on a South African passport so I assume one of his parents is South African. I cant seem to sign anyone from outside of South Africa and I almost got this player on loan last year so was pleased that I manged to sign him full time, he cost £85k pounds.

Abdul French

Another promising player this time on a free transfer, he is a holding midfielder player and despite his stats he isnt too bad. Again found by my excellent scout who has probably been my best signing!!!

Results At The Half-way Mark

Ok so for the observant readers you will notice that the name Swallows is now in blue, the reason is I have now joined them! I felt that this move was the right one to make and for several reasons:

1. They are finacially one of the richest clubs in South Africa I have about £4.5 million in the bank at FCAK I was in debt.

2. They own their own stadium and it has just recently been built they also sell out every game about 25,000 at FCAK it was a fraction of that and I also had to rent my stadium.

3. They have very good training and youth set-ups so much better than I would ever get at FCAK.

4. They have a good squad of players who are good enough (with a few additions) to challenge for the league title and maybe qualify for the champions league.

I must admit I enjoyed my time at FCAK but it would have took me forever to get them where the Moroko Swallows are now, so this job was simply too good to turn down. However I left them in a great postion of 6th and right on course for surving their first season.

My new team has some problems but am confident with a few new players we can start to climb the table, there was only a few games to the window opened so lets have a look at the players I bought to my new club!

New Signings Second Transfer Window

Sibusio Paulse

So I raided my former club bringing my former assistant manager, my goalkeeping coach, my first team coach, my physio and my excellent scout to my new club. I also brought my former centre back Paulse to the club for a fee of £120k pounds.

I didnt want to rip off my former team so payed a good price for him and knowing him he will do an excellent job for me at my new club, I made him club captain at FCAK so I am a big fan of Paulse!

Lazarus Makhanya

I made another signing of Makhanya from Ajax Cape Town I payed only £20k for him, and he is a central midfield player. Its nice to have some money to spend! But I dont want to waste it so he was my final signing of the window.

Results Second Half Of The Season

So was very pleased with how my season went! Swallows (please keep any jokes to yourself!) managed to finish 9th but my main problem was that we simply drew too many games as we are not able to finish sides off despite dominating them.

Was pleased also that FCAK managed to survive! But was fairly pleased with the move I made I would have been at FCAK for a long time so was happy to make the move! We need a bit of a clear out as I want to bring in my own players and despite having an ok squad I would like a few more players.

We have the money to do that so in my next post expect a bit of transfer activity as I try to get this team to be title challengers!

Cup Competition

South African FA Cup

The Final

Yay! My first trophy for my new team! The wierd thing is that the last three rounds we played teams from the lower leagues, which I guess shows that the difference isnt that big between the premier league and the first divisions.

However we were brilliant in the final winning 6-0 with my strikeforce of Langa (Trequarista) and Ntuli (Poacher) getting four goals my left winger Molefe and my new signing and former FCAK player Paulse from a corner! So my first trophy and hopefully the start of a golden spell!

And that is that! So much to cram into a single post! So hopefully it wasnt too long and you can always take a break and read the rest later! But my spell at FCAK is now over and the Moroko Swallows is my new club and for the first I am confident that I can do something in this league.

I feel that the league is winnable as most of the sides are very close and there isnt one outstanding team so I feel with a few new additions and a bit of luck we can push for the title and that elusive spot in the champions league!

Thanks for reading such a long post hope you enjoyed the twists and turns and my new season will be posted as soon as I can play it! :)

      Thanks Sears,

I agree I really had to move if I had any chance of doing anything in South Africa so Swallows seemed to make sense.

The cup win was nice but a we did have a very easy run but cup wins are always good! A few decent players and I am confident we can challenege for the league.

So good to have you back Ana, one of my mates at work is addicted to your story and will be delighted to get his fix again…I’m sick of him asking when you’re posting next lol :)

You made a great move to the Swallows and I think next season could see you win the league. Interesting to see FCAK fall down the league as your new club rose above them :) Congrats on the first trophy and I can’t wait for the next post, neither can my mate ;)

Thanks Darren and his friend! :),

Yeah its nice to be back posting again! Am really enjoying this challenge so really want play and see how far I can get!

The move was fairly easy to make to Swallows as they are one of the biggest clubs in the league so I had to move really otherwise I may have to wait a while for a better job. My next post will be up as soon as I can play it!

Am about a quarter of the way through so far! ;)

      Thanks Laxeyman,

Yeah, my new club is a little inconsistant but with a few new additions we should be able to improve for next year.

      Thanks for the luck! :)

Well done Ana! I’m really enjoying your story and well done on bringing FCAK to a good season. Swallows seems like a good team and you’ll win the title in 2/3 seasons or maybe next season. Good luck!

      Thanks Wazz,

Am glad you are enjoying it as I am really enjoying playing it and writing it! FCAK were a decent team to get, I could have done alot worse but we did have a good season until I left.

Swallows are ready made to compete with their new stadium and its always full, plus they have alot of money so am really happy with the future!

Yeah, they play in purple too which is my favourite colour! :)

The cup was nice and like you said with a few good signings and some money now to bring them in we should have a good season.

Ana, good move, very business minded move, and that final win of 6-0, that is something special.
