Ana – FM 2011: F.C.A.K, Season Nine

Hi everyone, sorry for being a bit inactive just a lot going on in my real life so havent had much time to read or post but I did manage to complete another season on my challenge. Last time I failed at the playoff stage and as such have remained in the lower league of South African football.

Lets have a look at how my season went!

Transfers In And Out First Window

So again these names will mean nothing to you but I am posting them to show more about how much money we spent and how much we sold our players for. I did bring in a few new faces to just increase our squad depth and cover any injuries that we may get.

Bradley Mahlango

So I bought him for some cover on the right wing, he also was highly rated my by scout who so far has been really good at judging the players I have brought in so was pretty happy with this signing.

Brian Dangazela

A little older than the players I usually go for but he has so much quality he could easily play in the South African premier league! Will definatly be a starter in my midfield.

Andre Shongwe

Another player bought for a bit of cover at both left back and left wing, and another promising youth player.

Results Halfway Mark

So we made fantastic start and the league is a little more competitive as Golden Arrows were relegated so have the best squad in the league, despite that we are top and are in a good position to get a playoff spot.

Phew! We just about managed to win the league thanks to our goal difference and retain our trophy but promotion is what I am after and we would meet Platinum Stars for a place in the South African premier league. But remember we have two shots as even if we lose we still have another shot at promotion!

The worst possible start! Once again we never really got going and we payed for bad mistakes we would also be without Maluka who was sent off for two stupid bookings and our chance of promotion is in serious doubt.

We did improve second half but we had a massive task in the second leg and our first chance of promotion looks like it is over.

Playoff Final Second Leg vs Platinum Stars

Yay! I never expected that, but I have put to rest my playoff nightmare’s and have finally won one! We were brilliant all game after they had scored on four minutes I feared it was over but we responded really quickly and Faba was amazing!

It was a great game to watch as we just dominated it and created so many chances, thankfully my team were able to take some and give us the win and promotion!

I usually get this in games that dont mean anything! But to inspire my team to turn over such a big deficit was pretty pleasing to say the least! However it was a team effort! My players were excellent all season and together we had finally won the promotion we deserved.

Final Player Ratings

Maluleke didnt quite have the amazing season he did last time but Faba was as clinical as ever. Paulse has been brilliant at the back and he even scored 9 times from set plays. Sangweni had a great season on the left wing but was delighted with every player.

So we have won promotion! And I decided to stay at FCAK for another season I would like a bigger job in South Africa but it must be to one of the bigger clubs with a chance of actually winning the African champions league. I have been linked to some big-ish clubs in South Korea but I really want to get the African champions league out of the way so will just stay at FCAK for now.

So a nice cup win! I really didnt focus too much on it but I guess its good to win and another trophy for me, final was really bad but Sangweni scored the winner in the only real quality moment in the game.

So thats it for now a great season capped of with the league title and a promotion and a playoff victory at last! Season 10 will be posted as soon as I play it! And will include how well we did in our first ever season in the premier league, once again thanks so much for reading and wish me luck on survival! :)
