One month later, in November, we had two other games to play in the World Cup qualification group. The first game was away in Peru, a very tough opponent. Centre back Diego Godin gave us the lead in the first half from a corner kick but unfortunately he got injured a few minutes later. Peru dominated the second half and made things level right after the break. We managed to score again on a counter attack and then defended the lead with great determination. We came out of it with an important victory over a qualification contender but we didn’t play too well…
Diego Godin was the man of the match, he scored with a nice volley from a corner kick cross but then got injured, I don’t have too many alternatives to replace him…
The last game of the year was away in Paraguay, a very difficult challenge. I had quite a few injured players to worry about, goalkeeper Muslera, Godin, plus strikers Forlan and Cavani… We played pretty well though but we failed to make the difference upfront, my strikers missed a few good chances and we lost the game.
Luis Suarez is a big star at his club, Ajax Amsterdam, and he had the chance to prove his skills in the Paraguay game. He was a big disappointment though, I was extremely angry with him at the end of the game. He was complacent and although he created chances thanks to his talent he missed them like an amateur… If he won’t show a better attitude in future games I might consider not calling him up again, I don’t need superstars that can’t score from 10 yards one on one with the keeper!
The good thing is that Brazil are already qualified for the World Cup, they will be the hosts. That make things a bit more simple but we will still have to fight to get one of the first four spots. I think that the first 8 teams will battle for those four places with Argentina and Colombia as strong favorites.
The five games that we will have to play in 2012 will show us if we have the strength to qualify or not. We’ll have the chance to warm up with a friendly game against Kuwait but then we’ll have to fight for the points, there will be some fierce battles to fight!
That’s how it was, I can say that it’s very difficult to manage a national team but it’s a very interesting challenge. I hope that I’ll be able to make better choices when selecting the players, I think I’ll disregard the names and call up the most in form players for each game.
And since it’s the last day of 2009 I wish you all a very happy shiny new year, may all your wishes come true in 2010! There are a bit more than 10 hours until midnight here but I’ll check the blog from time to time to answer your comments ;) Happy New Year my friends!

It is going well, I also think that you should take the players who have high moral at that time, because it’s a national team you can rotate more, because there will not be that many automatism in the team.
Happy new year to all of you

Big thanks to all of you and best wishes for 2010! Four hours to go here…
@Martin
I use a program called PicPick to make screenshots, it helps me with other design tasks as well. http://picpick.wiziple.net/
There are a few free programs that serve the same purpose but this is the one I like best. About creating the blog, it’s very simple to do that, just create an account with Blogger or WordPress and they should guide you step by step, it’s not complicated. I don’t know what to say about «making a good blog», just play the game and write about it the best you can, there’s no «secret» strategy :)

Martin, which program do you use to make screenshots? The blog looks nice, if you tell me the name of the program then I might be able to help you.

Thats a much better result in the second game. As everyone knows. No matter what country you are there are no easy games in international football.
Hppy new year

Oh And I Cant Get The Facepack To Work…I Must Have It In The Wrong Folder
And The Skins That You Posted Some Time Ago Won’t Work Either
Johnny Karp

Martin, if you follow the instructions those should work. About the screen shots, I would suggest using a program instead of that Paint nonsense, just try PicPick and you’ll see how easy it is.

Can You Give Me Some Quick Steps On How To Get + Use Picpick If It Isn’t Too Much Trouble?:)
Johnny Karp
2 января, 2010 at 15:04
It’s quite simple. Start the program and press Shift+Printscreen, then you have to select the region of the screen that you want to capture, save the file and that’s it. You can also use Alt+Printscreen to capture the active window or just Printscreen to capture the whole screen. You can change the hot keys if you want, these are the default ones.

The Picpick Thing Works On Normal Internet Pages But How Do I Get Pictures Off Of My FM10 Game

Martin, if you start PicPick and leave it running in the background, then start your FM 2010 and it should work fine.

Sorry mate, just one more tip. try to run FM 2010 in windowed mode instead of full screen, that might work. If not, you can try other free screen capture programs, I remember ScreenHunter Free worked well when I used it a few months ago.
Martin
2 января, 2010 at 18:01
Thanks For The Tips:)
How Do I Put The Game Into Windowed Mode ?
I’ll Try Screenhunter Then :)
Johnny Karp

There is an option in Preferences — Display and Sound, that’s what I remember. You should find it in preferences somewhere anyway.

Oh And Another Question:P
How Do I Cut Bits Off Of A Picture Because At The Moment I Think I’ve Got It On ‘Full Screen’ Mode
?
Martin
3 января, 2010 at 15:03
I Know How To Cut Bits Off Now Actually, But I’m Still Stuck On The Size Of The Pictures ??
Johnny Karp
3 января, 2010 at 15:34
Martin, if the size of the pictures in your computer is large I guess you have an option when you insert them into the blog post about size and link, please check that. I’m not using Blogger so I don’t know where and which the options are exactly.

Hi Martin, from my experience of using Blogger, after you insert the image, there should be an option of choosing small, medium and large instruction under the image. Hope that helps..
