So I feel I should probably do a bit of an introduction here.
My name is Tony, and I’m a Football Manager obsessive. I’m a stand up comedian, who has recently been touring a show called ‘Football Manager Ruined My Life’. That show was based on my achievements with Blyth Spartans (who are sadly unplayable at the start of FM15), so I decided that as the new game is fully up and running, it would be interesting to document my new career game.
First of all, this is an FM story, not another tour show (yet?). Secondly, I don’t want thins to be seen as a walk-through guide (I’ll probably get sacked quite a bit), and as I’m starting unemployed, there’ll clearly be no need to check here for a list of wonderkids who could become the next big thing, as I doubt they’ll be of any use to me until 2023 at the very earliest.
There’s a few unwritten rules in the FM community, one of which is player naming. I’m afraid there may be some player naming throughout this piece, but I stated above, I doubt whether anyone will see / hear about a player I’ve bought / sold, and then thought to themselves, «so that’s the guy I need to buy to solve my left back problems».
