Sears — FM11 Queens Park: The Spiders are marching towards the First Division 11/12

Hello everyone, welcome back to my Queens Park story. Apologizes for the lack of posts recently, as you know the site has had some technical difficulties of late but all that is sorted now. Due to the recent problems I couldn’t post which therefore means I’ve gone far enough into my second season, I’ve played up to the end of January. I’m having fierce trouble keeping my best players though. I’m finding it even more difficult replacing them! This is one of many downsides of  being an amateur club :-( Anyway, let’s see how we’ve adapted to the Scottish Second Division.

2nd Division results:

August results:

We began well in August, although we somehow failed to beat Clyde!! We went 2-0 up,had 9 clear cut chances but still managed to draw.. We bounced back and trounced Cowdenbeath 6-0. We then beat Forfar away 3-2 to gain revenge as they had knocked us out of the Scottish League Cup. We beat Peterhead 2-0, a comfortable win. Our biggest test was next though: we had to play league favorites Livingston away. My team shocked me as we dismantled them and came away with a superb 3-1 win!! Kuduzovic had a great month, scoring in every game! I was ecstatic with our start :-)

September results:

The goals dried up in September as we managed to score just 2 goals in 3 games. We lost our first game of the season to Dumbarton, we played terrible though. We then managed to keep 2 clean sheets as we beat Airdrie Utd and Stirling 1-0. Our defense was doing well, but my strikers didn’t seem confident in front of goal at all..

October results:

My defenders continued their fine form as we kept 2 more clean sheets in October.  We defeated Ayr 1-0, our 3rd consecutive 1-0 win, which is quite unusual as we normally tend to »score more than our opponents». Hat trick hero Kuduzovic netted 3 to seal victory over Clyde, but then we got absolutely slaughtered by Cowdenbeath. They managed to score 6 goals to surprisingly beat us 6-2.. Most of my players got fined after, and some waren’t best pleased with my actions :-D

November results:

November saw us keep 3 clean sheets in 3 games, amazing!! We drew with Peterhead 0-0, but we got a man sent off after just 21 minutes so it a draw was probably a decent result in the end.. We then destroyed Livingston at home 4-0, by far our best result of the season to date. A goal from Arru clinched victory against Aidrie.

December results:

December was an extremely busy month, we played no more than 6 games! We defeated Stirling away 3-0, Dumbarton away 1-0, narrowly beat Ayr away 2-1, and draw with bloody Clyde again 3-3. God there so annoying.. I’ve played them way to much :-D In one of the most exciting games I ever played we managed to sneak victory against Cowdenbeath. We scored in the very last second to gain all 3 points! We finished the year with a 0-0away to Forfar.

January results:

January began with another draw, our 3rd in 4 games. This time Peterhead took 2 points off us. Boyce returned from injury and scored twice as we overcame Dumbarton with ease 2-0. We then trashed Aidrie Utd 7-1 away. Kudzuovic in fine form again scoring a fabulous hat trick. In a massive game, which meritoriously ended Livingston’s title dreams.

League table:

After the defeat of Livingston, we extended our lead at the top to a gigantic 22 points. Whereas he havn’t scored as much as last season, our defense has improved immensely. We’ve dominated the league and promotion is inevitable now.

Scottish Challenge Cup:

We did extremely well in the Challenge Cup. We defeated Second Division rivals Stirling at home 3-0 in the 1st round. We then knocked our 3rd Division side East Stirlingshire 3-1 away. However our luck ran out against Raith. They netted a goal in the very last minute and prevailed following a penalty shoot-out. My board were delighted with our progress in this competition.

Scottish League Cup:

Our League Cup journey was ended in the 1st round as Second Division rivals Forfar overcame us 2-1.

Scottish Cup:

We’ve exceeded in our board expectation in the Scottish Cup. We were expected to reach the 3rd round, the round we entered in. We dismantled Cove Rangers 5-1, before beating Premier League side Inverness CT 2-1 at home. I was on cloud 9 after the game, my team put in a magnificent performance! We play 3rd Division side Elgin away in the 5th round.

Transfers  out:

There goes my best striker and left back… As you know none of my players are on a contract so until we turn semi-pro or even professional more players might be departing..

Transfers in:

I replaced my out going players with these new ones. Pivard is a left back, but nowhere as good as Genot. Benjamin is a striker with decent attributes, Kinsella is a work working center midfielder and Karakoglu is a good prospective young center back.

Squad stats:

Kudzuovic has been immense all season, scoring some important goals. Pivard has made a promising start, whilst Boyce has been essential. He’s been injuries for a while so it’s great to see him return to his best again.  Mayulu has been good as well, he’s managed to score a few goals. Adam Smith is a quality right back, and Sodini is like a brick wall in defense. Gianni and Delchie are my best center midfielders, really talented players.

That concludes today’s post folks. Thanks for reading.

Great half season Sears, you’re doing a great job, well done! You should easily get promotion now, you’ve absolutely dominated the league. Good luck for the rest of the season mate :)

Cheers Laxeyman. I’m pretty sure we can get promoted, I’m hoping to beat Elgin as well in the Cup. I’d love to get Rangers or Celtic at home, that would be amazing!

Well done Sears, its brilliant to see you lose your best players yet still keep an amazing lead in top spot. Your main striker has been brilliant and hope he doesn’t leave but can see a ‘wanted’ next to his name. Either way your looking set for Division One. Good luck mate.

Well it’s not so brilliant losing them, but I know what you mean :-p I’ll try my best to hold onto him.. Although I’m not sure if he’s going to stay beyond the season. Thanks :-)

    Hi Sears,

You have established another comfortable lead and i can only see promotion is the final result. Well done. It’s frustrating to see your best players leaving and you can’t do anything but to wait for your club to turn professional. Hopefully that will come soon. Good luck.

You’re clearly dominating the league and you’ve got a really huge chance to get promoted.. With the form your team is in, well, again, promotion, :D
Just hope that none of your best players will leave the club. Good luck Sears!
