Newcastle press on into 2010!

Hello again, and welcome to my Newcastle story. It has been a while since I have posted and I would like to apologize for that, it is just that I have been very busy recently doing things in my real life. Anyway, I am back playing Football Manager now and I will give you my next update with Newcastle!

My last post was about my League cup quarter-final against Man Utd and I have played quite a few matches after that. Here are the results:

I have been in great form, losing only against Aston Villa in the FA Cup. It was almost impossible to defend against them, so it shows I will need a lot of new players when I get into the Premier League. I was also very happy with our league form, winning all our games apart from a draw against a good Reading side. Also, I am very happy about my first leg result against Bolton, a 2-0 victory! It was a superb result against a tough Premier League team :) It sets up the 2nd leg well and I really want to proceed to the final…..

The Championship seems pretty much won now and most of the games are easy, and that shows in the table.

I am a huge 18 points ahead 2nd place with 20 games left, and I am extremely confident that we will get promoted.

I also have made some transfers in the January transfer window, selling Mike Williamson and Fabrice Pancrate, bringing in 1.4million much needed pounds to help with our very poor finances. I brought in a couple of youngsters that are poor and they were poor signings by me, so  there is not much point in showing them. My transfers in the future wil be better! :)

Anyway, that is my post to update you with my Newcastle story and I hope you have enjoyed reading it.

Thank you,

Calum.

    I think we all sign a few poor players when playing! :)

    But agree that the league is almost done, by the look and sound of it you are miles better than all the other teams, hopefully your finacial problems will be solved with a promotion to the premier league!

    Good luck!

    Hi Calum
    Promotion back the the Premier League looks almost a certainty as your team is in such fine form and look forward to seeing Newcastle in the League Cup Final.

    @Ana: Yes, we do :P I agree with you, and I think our team will not need too many additions for the Premier League as we have won against Man Utd and Bolton at home!

    @Lye: yes, the higher reputation of a Premier League club will help us sign better players.

    @Johnny: Thank you

    @Kevin: Thanks, we are not in the final yet though as we still have our second leg! :D

    @Sam: Thank you… I hope we don’t dissapoint you in the 2nd leg of the semis and hopefully in the final!
