Yep, it’s another one of those posts again and it’s one that frustrates the life out of me! No, Malmö haven’t slipped back into the midst of relegation again (although in fairness that would have probably been the more favourable option) but the game has suddenly decided to give up and crashed.
Now, in any other circumstance this would be fine because I would have a back-up. And I did, when I was managing Varberg BOIS back in July 2028. That’s right, in my naivety I failed to actually back up the save while I was in charge of Malmö. Bummer :(
I’m not going to give up and bin the whole story altogether, it would seem pretty pointless attempting to start a new save with FM 2012 coming out at the end of the year. So, I’ll be a trooper and carry on with the save. I am in a bit of a predicament though, in that I am torn between what to do with the save so I’ll give you a couple of options:
1) Carry on with the BOIS. I know that most people didn’t want me to end my reign in Varberg so one of the options would be to carry on and make them into the most dominant force in world football. Basically, with the option I will attempt to make Varberg as good/better than Johnny’s Vauxhall or Darren’s Newcastle sides. Tough, but with four months to catch up before the new game comes out it would be achievable.
2) Try and knock them off their perch. Again. Basically the same as the challenge I underwent with Malmö.
3) Manage in England. I have England loaded up on here so my aim with this option would be to take your average Championship/Premier League club and make them into the dominant force in World Football.

go with malmo again, no bigger then challenge then beating yourself btw, i love the stories, they are brilliant! I’ve read everything so far even the start which was 17 pages i believe, i am currently entering one of your earlier seasons where you have just won the uefa, bravo i must say! continue with malmo please!

thats very unlucky…& frustrating!! :( … u were beginning to make malmo into a good side…
I would very much love to see you bring down the dynasty…beating BOIS is going to be way more interesting ( & harder :) ) than the other 2 options… but I am sure u can do this in 4 months…

I can really sympathize as that’s happened to me more than once — though with the computer crashing and not the game but still no back up of the save. Anyway start over with Malmo again!
