fms podcast ad

Hey guys and welcome back to our FMS Podcast series two. Episode three is very special indeed and a first for FMS as we invite a guest on the show from outside of the Football Manager Story community. Jarrod Birch (known better as Jad) takes his place to tell us about Clear Cut Chance, the up and coming Football Manager magazine. We’ll also pick his brains on tactical systems and one of FM14’s best prospects. You really don’t want to miss this so scroll down and click play to hear our Football Manager podcast.

The FMS Podcast will be available in the tab near the top of this site, through iTunes and in each episode post (see below to play today’s episode.)

Football Manager Podcast, Series Two, Episode Three

Hosts: Darren Smith and Jake Lenahan.

Guest: Jarrod Birch (from Clear Cut Chance)

Duration: 1 hour 4 minutes

Content: Today we are joined by Jad, one of the editors for Clear Cut Chance. We’ll quiz him on what this Football Manager magazine is all about and try to get some insider information. Then Jad will stay behind to discuss FM14 tactical systems and how best to approach tactics in this years game before we all discuss Balanta, the must have wonderkid. Then its time for Jake and Darren to battle out the quiz and your questions from the previous episode.

Brilliant Podcast again. I have had a read of CCC and it is quite good. As for tactics for me it’s 5-3-2 all the way. Some may say that’s a weird choice but it’s served me well so far in this version.
I always buy Balanta if i have money and him and Dória a the back it’s been one of the best partnerships i’ve had in FM.

Question- Have either of you used tactics which may be considered odd or unusual (3-5-2, 5-2-3 etc..) and if not would you consider it?

ahahahah no worries atleast you got it in. And i like that you and Jake differed in opinions. Shows the minds of different FM players.
By the way are you doing another Live stream in the near future as i missed the last one?

Really great contribution for Jad, great hearing a third opinion and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in to some of those large articles on Clear cut chance. Really enjoyed listening to that 4-2-3-1 chat.

That quiz is becoming a massacre, Darren. Get your act together!! :)
