The FM 2016 player profile of Maximilian Meyer shows a highly versatile and talented young midfilder, with potential to become one of the best in the game. He has a fairly reasonable minimum fee release clause in his contract at the start of the game, I doubt you will ever be able to get him for much less.
In my test save he remained at Schalke, even though there was interest for him from several big clubs. He has managed to become the leader of the team, with impressive average ratings and a solid number of assists and goals throughout.
He developed into a dribbling machine with exceptional creativity and anticipation, the man you need to dictate play and create chances for his team mates. He can be employed in a variety of roles and positions, and given that he can use both feet to play the ball he can be effective on both flanks and in the middle as well.
