The FM 2016 player profile of Leon Goretzka shows one of the best young central midfielders in the game, his potential should make him a star in Europe’s biggest clubs. Buying him from Schalke will be a tough task, almost impossible at the start of the game and surely expensive later on.
In my test save Arsenal spent 26.5 million pounds to get him in 2019 and he immediately became the leader of their midfield. The future profile screen shot shows a midfielder with extraordinary mental attributes, strong and good in the air, but also with amazing technique, passing and first touch. He can be both the brains and the muscle in your midfield, surely one of the best central midfielders in Europe.

Bellerin is amazing, I’m currently playing an Arsenal save and he’s just great! The other youngsters that you have mentioned have very good potential.

I always want Goretzka, but he is just so darn expensive, and not likely to get less expensive, I always keep an eye out on him, especially if I sell alot of players the first season, but usually I just pile on with some other good youngsters rather than splurge it on him. I wonder if teams are keeping an eye on him, and rate him as well as the FM scouts obviously do.

Some guys on Facebook say they’ve bought him for around 13 mil after the first season, worth a try at that price.

You can replace the «biography» panel on the player profile with «attribute analysis».

He was the best all round midfielder in the game in FM15, after Pogba obviously. No-brainer sort of signing if you have the cash. Tielemans was up there too but was far too injury prone.

Was unhappy at Schalke over playing time. Managed to get 20mil accepted, his agent asks for a Hot Prospect contract at 150k. I say no; sacks his agent, offer him another contract, same thing. Crazy money! Especially after my scouts suggested he’d want 30k
