This FM 2015 player profile of Samuel Umtiti shows one of the best young FM15 central defenders. Starting the game with good ability Umtiti could walk into most sides making development quite easy to handle. In my test save he was by far Lyon’s best player with amazing average ratings and in other saves he has performed at the top clubs also. He developed some brilliant attributes. 20 for marking, 18 composure, 19 positioning and 18 anticipation, the kid has speed and strength also. All other defensive attributes rose to 15 and above.
Your only weakness is jumping reach, but developing to 13 isn’t bad and I really wouldn’t put that as a proper weakness when you see all those other stats. Shame about the £23 million asking price but if you want an instant impact and potentially one of the best defenders, you’ll have to pay for it.

He has -8 potential, there are at least 100 players with more potential than him. Could be the case he hit the very best of his flexible potential in one of your saves but even then the max would be PA of 160 which is that of a very good wonderkid, but no more.
