This FM 2014 player profile of Stephan El Shaarawy shows a player with bags of talent but also with a major problem: injury proneness. His potential is amazing but he is injury-prone and that doesn’t help at all. You can get him for 40 million at the start of the game but it’s a risky investment considering what I said above.
His development in my test save was decent but not really as good as it could have been. He still managed to become a very good player even though he spent the best part of around three seasons on the sidelines due to injuries. However, his potential is among the best in the game, so if you like a gamble this is one you might want to take.

Normally when I think ‘wow’ about a player you post it’s because their stats are amazing but in this case it’s because I expected so much more.
Injuries can have a massive effect on players in game and in real life and this is definately represented here.

Is he really that bad injury proneness? Ive got him at Barcelona now for 2 seasons and only missed a couple of weeks in total.

A player that is injury-prone won’t necessarily get injured every two weeks, he might get injured frequently in one save but less frequently in another. Fact is the scout report says he is injury-prone so in theory he should get injured a bit more than your average player.

in my save he devolped much better than that (with AI not me) and he still 24.
