This FM 2014 player profile of Marquinhos shows one of the best central defenders in the game, he has great ability and awesome potential. Unfortunately he’s almost impossible to sign at the start of the game, PSG have just bought him and they don’t want to sell.
In my test save he remained at the French champions until 2020 and was a top asset to the team throughout. He developed perfect marking skills, almost perfect marking, great mental attributes plus solid speed and strength. There’s not much else that can be said about him, a world class defender that any team would be lucky to have.

He’s surprisingly easy to unsettle, actually; if you praise him several times, talk about how much you want to sign him, then approach PSG with an offer before breaking off, he will go for a relatively small amount. I’ve managed to get him for £21 million at the start of the second season on several saves.
But he’s a top player. Pair him with Balanta and you have an absolute wall.

Just a shame he’s had a bit of a hit on his PA on the new patch and he’s at PSG.. But the guy above says that he isn’t impossible to sign, which is good. His mentals are incredible, up there with the likes of Wilshere in who develops the best mental attributes.

such a shame he got hit with the nerf bat pretty hard, remember him and eder alvarez balanta as an unbeatable duo in my barca team, where balanta was the strength and marquinhos with incredibly speed.
