This FM 2014 player profile of Matheus Biteco shows a very versatile defensive midfielder with brilliant physical attributes and defensive stats. Protecting the back four seems Biteco’s best position but he can also feature as an MC is many roles. During my test save he gained fantastic strength, passing ability and good all round ability. He’s certainly one to break up play and then spot a pass as opposed to dribble the ball out from the back, but good long range shooting comes in handy and those physical attributes mean Biteco can cover a lot of ground.
I think he’d be a snap at £5 million had that PA been higher and therefore making him more a guaranteed developer.
