This FM 2014 Player Profile of Iker Muniain shows a skillful inside forward with brilliant technique capable of playing for even Barcelona. In fact this lad would suit the Barcelona style, he’s sharp with great technique and very direct. During our test save the AI failed to play Muniain properly from 2017 to 2020, these 3 years really saw the Spaniard suffer. With good human management this wonderkid should grow beyond the screenshots above.
Muniain still developed 17 and above for dribbling, flair, off the ball movement, acceleration and agility. These are all vital attributes for any inside forward in my opinion. But I do have to consider the evidence we have and an asking price of £38 million brings the rating down.

He looks worse in the future SS in many senses tbh and I wouldn’t get him for that asking price, but below thirty and I think he’s worth a shout. :)

I wouldn’t pay that asking price for anyone and TBH he can definitely develop beyond the screenshots above.

Surprisingly he has been very poor in my PSG save and was sold the very next season to Man City.
Does pitch in with an odd goal here and there but overall for such a hefty price tag was expecting much more.

Sometimes players just don’t settle at a club and don’t suit a system, thats why I try to stay away from massive money buys unless I can afford it.

For some reason, Munian has been rather mediocre in 2 of my earlier saves, being upstaged by Draxler in one and by Vitinho in another. I was using Darren’s 4-3-3 control tactic in both saves and Iker just couldn’t produce the world class performances we’ve come to expect of him. Its not like he was terrible but when you pay 30m + for a player, you expect to see the returns on the pitch.

I often find buying players like Muniain for such large sums leads to a very slow bedding in period, which is frustrating considering the cash spent and you usually pay up to get an instant impact.
