This FM 2014 player profile of Grzegorz Krychowiak shows a reliable defensive midfielder that develops insane mental attributes. I think Krychowiak can have it all, I love defensive midfielders with brilliant work rate, teamwork, decision making and an all round ability to think on and off the ball. On top of that he develops good passing, tackling, marking and even heading which is always underestimated for the position. The Pole is also very strong, fit and enjoys great balance meaning he’s hard to shrug off in both defensive and attacking scenarios.
During my test save he performed well for every side that invested in him, most impressively with great ratings for Shakhtar, scoring a fair number of goals in the process. Krychowiak may not be our usual profile due to his age, but I felt some of you may need a player just like him and at £6.5 million he seems a decent buy. His best role, anything that protects your defence, whether is be an aggressive regista, holding anchor man or a half back slot in as the third CB when defending.
