This FM 2014 player profile of Dorin Rotariu shows yet another hot prospect from Romania, creativity and brilliant technical attributes make the show reel. When first seeing the initial profile in 2013 you’d be excused for brushing this kid off down to the £9 million asking price. However, in my test save he’s brilliant. Reasonably well endorsed physically, amazing technically and with a great understanding of the game and what it takes to beat his man. Utility men are always a bonus and Rotariu can act as this too, best used as winger from the left, you could also play him as inside forward from either wing or as an advanced playmaker.
Rotariu performed well for every club in my save from Holland, to England and even Portugal where he suffered with injuries…one very important note is that he was always a goal threat, while at Arsenal the Romanian scored 13 in one season, very good return for a winger in my opinion.

Have him in my Liverpool save, hoping to turn him into a striker, just in my second season, he’s looking decent so far.

While he has that raw all round ability I think he’d be wasted as a striker considering what he can offer from the wings, he could work there with enough training but I don’t think he’d ever be as good as he is out wide.
