FM 2014 alen halilovic history

This FM 2014 player profile of Alen Halilovic shows one of the most promising talents in the game, he’s certainly developed well in our test save. Under AI management Halilovic is already the perfect free-kick taker, brilliant from corners and deadly from the spot. If set pieces aren’t exciting enough he developed brilliant, dribbling, finishing, first touch, technique, flair, creativity and agility to name just a few stats. I would love to see him as the shadow striker.

I’d ignore the average ratings from our test save, its still early days in his career and human management would get more I’m sure, besides just look at the attributes and what Halilovic could be. One of the best talents this year for sure, not awful for £23.5 million :) And that could drop over time.

Skillful, talented players are very often selfish…no player can have every box ticked.

We have a Balanta, his team work though, but still great!!

Woah ! Sweet lord look at those stats ! haha I am in shock, I suspected he would be good but not that good ! seems he is almost to good for his own good in the test save and goes to 2 of the best teams in the world where his playing time is limited, I wouldn’t worry about his history, just look at the stats… :O

Yeah I agree, the career history can be very misleading, I always prefer to judge on attributes first and this kid certainly has some great stats.

Can you please profile Ross Barkeley?

He’s not improved enough in my save I’m afraid, will keep an eye on him though.

Do you think with those stats he could be a good advanced forward? That finishing and composure seems too good for an AM…

He could be yes, but I think he could be good in a lot of different roles TBH, he has some nicely rounded ability.

Do you think he would fit as Inside Forward Right/Left ?

Halilovic v Kovacic and why please ???

    • Darren Smith

      4 декабря, 2013 at 12:05

Two very different players, depends on what you are looking for I guess. If its an MC to do multiple jobs then Kovacic, if its an AMC to score and create only then Halilovic.

Firstly, I’d like to commend you lot on this site, I’ve followed it for years.. I’ve never posted a comment here, but I have a little heads up for you..

Have a look at Julian Brandt of Wolfsburg. Signed for my Gladbach save on a free transfer at the end of the first season, regularly out performs my other wingers/inside forwards Halilovic and Fischer.. 5 star ‘world class’ potential, and in 2017, still only 20, regularly turning down bids of £35/40mil from the likes of Bayern, City, Barca, Madrid!

Holy cow, this guy is a BEAST!
Currently negotiating on signing him now on my Man Utd save.
This guy is a MUST buy it seems. If AI can get him to be that good, a real manager should hopefully make him better if i’m not mistaken? As ling as he know what he is doing.

Btw can you do a report on PSG’s Marquinhos?
    A beast of a defender.

    • Darren Smith

      14 декабря, 2013 at 20:48

I would say he can develop beyond the screenshots above yes. About Marquinhos, a few want his profile and it will come eventually but due to him being so tough to sign he’s not a priority at the moment.

I think I must have drawn the short end of the straw with this guy coz his PA seems to be in the lower 150s for me. Have to say I am quite dissapointed when I looked at his future stats. Oh well my Barkley’s looking like a BAWS already with some wicked stats at just 21 not to mention being valued at 45.5 mill GBP!

Thats a shame, just remember development can vary on the training facilities and coaches too.

Cagigao in my Real Madrid save on the 1st season told me he is just 2 stars potential, should I buy him? I just do not know, I look at your pictures and I am like «OMG! I must buy him» but that Cagigao´s report :/

    • Darren Smith

      31 декабря, 2013 at 22:22

TBH I’d need to see a screenshot to believe that, I don’t understand how any scout could rate him 2 star potential, surely that is current ability or current ability in a particular position?

      • Alejandro

        31 декабря, 2013 at 22:41

Take a look, I do not know why I was not able to take a screenshot so I took a picture, if it is not very clear let me know to focus the picture where you want
Take a look, you can download it and zoom

That is very strange, not sure what you should do. I just repeated your report in my save and got 3.5 star potential. While he does have flexible ability which means he will vary from game to game he shouldn’t vary that much.

            31 декабря, 2013 at 23:20

I think I’ll sign him, hope is the last thing one should loss haha, I’ll also sign Guido, if Halilovic doesn’t work, my last hope would be Guido, although Cagigao just have Guido 2 1/2 stars on potential :/

          • Darren Smith

            31 декабря, 2013 at 23:30

Wow, two players they don’t rate that should in theory be brilliant. Seems a bit like a bug to me, but as mentioned the flexible PA does leave a small question in any game for how far they can go, but not that much IMO, would be interesting to see if they change their opinion.

In few minutes I will show you a picture, 1 star of current hability and 2 of potential, I do not know what to do haha :/

It is just really odd to see so much players with free kick taking 20…Great talent tho worth the money

    • Darren Smith

      2 января, 2014 at 21:00

Yeah that is because a lot of the screenshots are from an earlier patch where SI admitted there was an issue with excessive growth in free kick taking ability.

Do you think he could be a good Advanced Playmaker as MC?

    • Darren Smith

      9 января, 2014 at 11:43

I guess so, but depends on your tactic also, if you want him to be more involved in the teamwork side then probably not, if its just to attack the backline and make things happen on his own then he should work.

Only found this site about 2-3 months ago but have been a massive fan since,

Anyway, I’m in my third season with Ajax, I have Vietto (Bought for 4.5mil) up front as a poacher, Parades (bought for 450k) behind him as a SS or AP. I was wondering, do you think Halilovic would be a good inside forward for the right hand side? I got a big of 8.5 accepted for him but Ajax dont have mountains of cash as you know.

    • Darren Smith

      23 января, 2014 at 07:02

Thanks. He’d be good for the right as an inside forward yes.

Any chance you’s could do a write up on Valmir Berisha? The young Swedish striker touted as the next Ibrahimovich from Halmsted

Halilovic is usually quite injury prone though, or actually, often very injury prone, maybe that explains his lack of playing time during your test save.. It doesnt, however, explain the sick development though.

    Love this site :)

    • Darren Smith

      30 января, 2014 at 12:08

I don’t think he is very injury prone in every save, I think that along with his natural fitness is set like his PA to be random from save to save, so he can be very injury prone, likewise he has just as equal a chance of being fit for most the game. I have him with Wigan and in 2018 he has only been injured a few times for 3 days and three times for 3 weeks, hence in my save he isn’t injury prone at all.

hey, Ive been loving your site so great work! got a question though…on fmscout they have a huge list of wonderkids that show what players can be the best but this kid is much lower on potential than loads of other players that you have rated lower? does new patches and updates give them new potentials? if so that would make fmscouts list totally redundant. dunno if that makes sense lol. basicly ur list of best players are quite low down on other sites. cheers if you can answer that mess of a question! mitch.

That list just like any other including ours is a matter of opinion based on the writers thoughts on the players. All I can say is it’s very evident how much detail and research went into our list over many others and I like to think that is what sets us aside. Doesn’t necessarily mean we’re right over anyone else with our lists, but we couldn’t possibly go into more detail to show you how we have arrived at our conclusion.
