This FM 2013 player profile of Virgil van Dijk shows a solid young Dutch defender, a talented player that becomes a good centre back in the future. Unfortunately FC Groningen are quite demanding when it comes to selling him, they want 9 million at the start of the game and that is a bit too much in my view.
However, if you could get him for less it would make a good deal. He is very good in the air, speed is not great but can be improved, mental attributes are solid. He ended up at HSV in my save and grabbed 26 caps for Holland, not an easy achievement considering how many quality players there are in the nation.
