lacina traore fm 2013 career stats

This FM 2013 player profile of Lacina Traore shows one of the most gifted strikers in the game, a rare combination of strength and skills on the ball. Moreover, he is one of the tallest players in the world but he’s one that can really play football and not a basketball drop-out like some others. Unfortunately there’s little or no chance of getting him right at the start of the game because Anji have just bought him from Kuban. They are willing to let him go for 21 million but the player doesn’t want to move right away.

You should keep a close eye on him though and get him as soon as possible because he becomes a real beast. The future screen shot does all the talking, he is incredibly strong, pretty fast as well, good mental attributes and solid skills on the ball, including top notch finishing and first touch. Werder Bremen managed to get him on a free at the end of his contract in my test save, got 14 goals off him and then sold him for 22.5 million to Arsenal, excellent piece of business. Arsenal got 34 goals in 55 appearances from him, not a bad scoring ratio.

Bottom line: Lacina Traore is one of the few tall and strong players that can also handle the ball well enough, I’d say he’s the perfect striker for Premier League teams and not only.

Best buy rating: 10/10

who would rate him a 1??? he looks immense (pun intended)

A little work on his heading should be mandatory though.

He is immense indeed, he’s probably having trouble finding shoes and clothes for his size :D I agree, work on his heading would be indicated.

Two questions 1. do you think height factors into playing ability i.e will traore win most headers being that tall. 2. do you think he could play as a target man effectively? but great find and post because i had forgotten about him thanks for all your hard work

Height is definitely a factor, he should indeed win most headers thanks to that. And yes, he should make a good target man.

I’m pretty sure height is factored into jumping. A 6’8″ player with 19 jumping is just as good in the air as a 5’7″ player with 19 jumping. That’s why you never see short players with good jumping, and players like Traore and Crouch who -for the most part- hardly leave the ground, have high jumping.

    Hi Johnny,

First of all this is my first year in discovering FMS, I use it almost daily and its been a great tool for me, thanks for all the information you guys provide.

As for Traore, I have a couple of questions:

    1. I want to utilise his jumping (19) with heading, so I have LT on a high intensity training focus solely on heading. Currently playing him as a DLF (support) would this be the ideal role for him as I nurture him into ‘The Next Drogba’? I play him alongside Fierro in a 4222 formation (Fierro poacher).

    2. More of a general question, I notice that a lot of my players (including LT) often moan about the high intensity of training. If they are unhappy with training workload will this in fact have a negative affect on their attribute progression?

    Cheers

Thanks for the nice words. I guess that role should be good for him but you will see if it goes well or not yourself, the best way to find out is to try. As for the second question, if a player is unhappy with the training workload that can indeed affect his progress so I think you should find the right balance between the workload and the player’s happiness.

Similar to Peter Crouch in that he’s about 8 foot tall but better with his feet.

Amazing, I bought him and he scored on his debut on champions league match! with a header. And then for his second game (league), he provided 3 assists and scored 2 goals for barca. Very cool player who will know when to pass or shot. Unselfish.

Funny thing, I remember he was quite selfish in real life when he played in the Romanian league :)
