He will great defender for any mid-table teams. By the way, according to your opinion who will be the best or quality BWM for my Real Madrid and can be first team player right away, was looking for De Rossi but he is way too expensive for his age.

Probably Sandro form Spurs or Fellaini if money is no object.

Thnx man, can u do profile of romelu lukaku (west ham), facundo ferreyra (velez) and alexandre lacazette (olympique lyonnais). They are quality strikers in fm13.

Already profiled all of them, just check the wonderkid list.

Alright Darren, I was wondering what you think of Remie Streete on this latest patch? On my Newcastle save I’ve just started my second season and his progress to date has been very good indeed. He looks as if he could develop into a brick wall of a defender, but with the added bonus of speed.

He is a good player, never gonna be a world beater but still worth developing. He’ll never get a profile though as the AI doesn’t seem to bother developing him.

You know you’re shit when you’re at Everton

I’m sure that’s light hearted humor. Just to clarify though this profiles with human management where someone has signed for their club.

I’m going to have a go at trying to develop him into a good defender. Trouble is, I take ages to complete a season! If I manage to improve him to a good level I’ll send some screenshots your way…

TBH I think this shows good enough development.

Not Munoz mate, Streete. He’s developing at a staggering rate at the moment.

Oh of course, yeah send something over if you get past 2015.
Jack

Will do. What software do you use to copy the screenshots?

I use Pickpic.

Cheers. I’d like to ask you something else about training please. During my first season many of my players were experiencing, in my coaches’ words, ‘remarkable improvements during recent training sessions’. However, in this second season my players aren’t developing very quickly whatsoever really. My board is currently building new training facilities but they’re already described as ‘top training facilities’. Do you think the new facilities will help boost my players’ development again? Or do you think their lack of development could be down to something else?

It could be any number of things. A player may have gone through his biggest spurt and now make only a steady increase in ability, it could be your training settings, anything maybe even lack of first team football. I hope you’re not judging your players on pre-season or the very beginning of the season though, obviously they will take longer to get back into things after a holiday.

Cheers. Yeah, I am only very early in the second season (late October), so I guess I should lower my expectations a bit and hopefully they should kick on a bit later. My squad has plenty of depth and I tend to work on a rotation basis with most of them so as to keep players fresh. Would you not really advise this for the players you really want to develop? Would you play them every game unless they really, really need a rest?
Darren Smith

Obviously the more a player plays the better he’ll develop. However, that is why I recommend rotational as to develop the younger players. I stick with your plan, make sure you’re training balanced with high intensity and focusing on a appropriate individual training for each player with heavy intensity also.

Thanks for that, I will do. I think I should be more patient too. As they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day.

That’s right, I didn’t learn that until a few years ago when I managed Newcastle for more than 10 years and realized what can be achieved with a little patience, that was when I learned the most about FM.

It definitely pays to have patience with FM. Simply hammering the space bar often leads to mistakes.
How do you go about talking to your players individually regarding levels of training? Often or not at all?
Darren Smith
7 июня, 2013 at 21:12
Not at all, I find the media and individual attention in media outside of matches has very little impact, just causes problems for me personally.
Jack
7 июня, 2013 at 21:21
Oh okay. How about praising form in private chat? Same?
Darren Smith
7 июня, 2013 at 21:24
I very rarely do that, mainly because the few times I tested it the player then dropped form, could be coincidental but I stopped after that.
Jack
7 июня, 2013 at 21:26
I share your suspicions really. Just because I have been using too and the players in question perform terribly in the next couple of games.
Jack
7 июня, 2013 at 21:29
I also think bollocking players about their training levels has adverse effects on their training performance. That’s what I think anyway.
Darren Smith
7 июня, 2013 at 21:41
I found the same, that’s why I don’t touch individual media interviews, its just not worth the risk.
Jack
7 июня, 2013 at 22:04
Yeah, I agree definitely. I’ve noticed on this year’s game that there’s a lack of goalkeepers, but I’ve this lad called Mattia Perin who looks like he could turn out quite well. What do you think?
Darren Smith

He looks quite talented at the start but never really improved enough in my test saves, maybe due to lack of human management and first team football.
