This FM 2013 player profile of Bernd Leno shows a top class goalkeeper, a lad that could slot right into most top-flight teams at the age of 20. He is one of the few goalies that can also perform very well as a sweeper keeper and that is a big plus in my book. He is a very consistent performer and his only weakness seems the communication area, but that can probably be improved through training or maybe tutoring.
In my test save he remained at Leverkusen until 2019 but his value almost doubled while his average ratings remained consistently above 7. The main drawback is that Leverkusen want a whole lot of money for him at the start of the game, 17.5 million, because they have just secured his transfer from Stuttgart. But I guess you could get him for less during the winter transfer window or in the summer of 2013, worth buying for around 10 million I think.
