This FM 2013 Player Profile of Alberto Grassi shows a top cheap playmaker. Got less than £1.5 million to spend, need a creative force in the middle, someone to dictate the tempo with room to grow? Well look no further. Grassi won’t slot straight into your starting eleven and he does require some attention to develop, but offer this wonderkid the management he deserves and he’ll blossom.

For just £1.4 million you could get one of the best long range shooters with a mind for the game, good technique and a great range of passing. This kid would earn 9.5 if he had more current ability making first team football a little easier to offer.

Best buy rating: 9/10

I reckon this slag could beast the cm support role, do you reckon? Hes got a long shot that could knock a twix out of a tree from 60 paces

Yeah he could. He can pass, has good general attributes and an added bonus in those long shots. He would take some developing though, including plenty of game time.

Would be good for lower table teams who are looking to strengthen on a budget, or for top teams that are looking to invest in cheap youth rather than buy established players. If I were inbetween those two I’d probably want to invest my limited funds in players who will do a job sooner.

Again I agree, certainly good for lower sides, and he’d be worth rolling the dice for as a big club…but when funds are tight and you need an instant impact he’d be on the back burner for sure.
