I didn’t get that much but just signed Roberto Pereyra in January. Don’t need him as such but wanted another Italian player and he’s versatile for the right wing or B2B position.

Thanks Pedro, glad you enjoyed the stream really made playing the game more enjoyable. I guess I kind of lost it with Albiol, he’s cost us too much this season and wound me up lol :) And yes, that was a touch of genius with the Rescaldani guess.

I just don’t get this game. I followed your save (transfers, tactics, etc.) exactly and my Napoli side just sucks. They cannot win away, they let bottom table teams draw with crazy scores (e.g. 4-4 at home against Genoa), and they fail to convert the most ridiculous clear cut chances. Am I just having terrible luck or is there some other variable that I’m missing here? I let the assistant manager to opposition instructions and most team talks. What do you do to break out of a run of terrible form?

When trying to implement a tactic like this with a team like Napoli (slowish defenders etc) you will be up against it and need to hit the ground running. A lot of it is about team selection, get that wrong, lose a game and then before you know it it all spirals out of control. The problem is once a rut sinks in its very hard to get out of. You may need to change tactic or if able to bring in a new face. Other thing to note is that if you don’t use my flat 4-5-1 when going a few goals up or seeing a tough game out late on then you will concede goals from winning positions.

Thanks for the feedback. I think part of my problem was that the flat 4-5-1 was a little behind the 4-2-3-1 in the match preparation bar. When I switched over, the players just weren’t as familiar with the tactic. I just managed a 4-3 home win against Bayern after going down 1-3 in the first half, so things are looking better. I have noticed that my defense seems to live and die by Balanta’s performances. As the only quick CB, when he has an off game, I’m pretty much screwed.
For summer 2014, I’ve already lined up Alex Sandro for the weak LB position. I’m also trying to figure out who I want to bring in for AMR. Napoli really seems lack left-footers!

It should improve as the season goes on and the team settle. I think once you get more suitable players in the summer the performances will be much more consistent. My main tip is that while Albiol seems suitable for ball playing defender he’s seriously let me down in big, big games making horrendous mistakes.

Another prediction i get right with Woodhouse. I said he’d win and retire and what happened.! I should bet more often. Good fight on TV how was it live?

Yeah it was amazing live, the atmosphere was electric and the last fight was the best by a mile. I actually can’t talk today, my voice has completely gone from screaming like a lunatic for 5 straight hours. Awesome night though, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Also the last three fights were all local lads from around Yorkshire so the support for them was deafening.
As for the stream, I am thinking about next week Sunday, but not certain yet so should know later in the week.

Yeah i’ll bet. I actually went up to Manchester last year to watch UFC Fight Night at the Phones 4 U arena. Not Boxing but MMA which i’m a big fan of. Like you i’d recommend everyone to experience something like that atleast once. Epic experience for sure. Did the crowd favour Woodhouse though? Didn’t seem like it on TV.

From where I was the crowd were fully behind Woodhouse, whether there was a following from London nearer the mics that may have made it seem different I’m not sure.

Hi Darren,
I didn’t get to see the stream live, so catching up now. First of all, your presentation of the stream is great, very easy to follow and watch (I’ve sat here for two hours straight now), something that most people can never master.
Secondly, how do you have your set-pieces set-up? Do you manually set yours up? Or just leave them be?

You’ll be coming up on the best bit then, the last hour was a bit crazy :) I’m glad you enjoyed it, the next stream will most likely be a week on Saturday and feature the end of my season with Napoli.
As for set piece setup I change it from the default, not massively but some tweaks, if you download any of my tactics you’ll see how I set them up.
