Alright. I’ll do the whole season in one sweep. During this world cup my passion for playing is back and I’ve skipped ahead a bit.
Matches from Aug — Oct
A good solid start to the season and the highlight is that we have mane games where we haven’t let any goals past us. I’m also happy with the contribution from the strikers. Jake Taylor, the on-loan forward is really producing the goods. Fitzharris was injured for quite some time after the opening games but is finally back now.
Nov — Jan
The 1-5 thumping against Barnet was certainly the worst game I’ve had in my career with Basingstoke, a real lowpoint. But other than that it’s looking okay. We lack some disciplin and tend to go a bit up and down in concentration.
Here’s a league update for you.
Just below the play-off spots. Hopefully we can get in a string of good results to push for one of those spots.
Feb — April
What a disaster the month of March became. Not a single win during that period ended our hopes for a play-off spot. We’ll have to do it all over in the premier and build a more competitive team and work on our weak points and our tactical approach.
The best players being Sean Fitzharris, Dan Keat, Lee Makel and Chris Rodd.
Not a great post, I know. Not a great season obviously and I’m still working on my own tactics with a libero behind two central defenders and wingbacks on each side. Making up a 5 man defence. 3 central midfielders where each of them as their own setups, one of the taking offesive point in being a trequartista. In front we have to strikers similar to other tactics where one takes a supporting role and the other does the goalpoaching.
I’ll return with our progress during the next season in an attempt to catch up. I’ve had some real troubles with my internet connection, not making it possible to upload pictures to post my story for you. Hopefully I’ve worked it out.

Majk, you’v had a good season. Don’t be too disappointed that you didn’t get a play-off spot. Regroup during the summer and if you come back stronger next season you will probably get promoted! Hi Majk, that’s still a decent season, so well done. With a couple of quality signings you could really push for a promotion place next year.

Not a bad season at all Majk, don’t be harsh on the lads :) Once you get the tactical approach sorted out things will become a lot easier. You’ll also be able to bring in a few more players so I guess promotion is a realistic target for next season. Good luck!

Not a bad season at all considering the fact that it’s you’re first appearance in that league…With the right signing you should be able to push for a promotion spot next season…

There are several programs that can be used to make screen captures of the game, I use a free program called PicPick.
