   Does a SINGLE coach need to fufill these requires or can I have several coaches for one training catergory that meet one or two on these. For example can one coach with 20 attack; 25 DDM (combined) and anther coach with 17 technique, 25 DDM (combined) give me seven stars or do I need to find ONE COACH with all of those?

     As far as I know it’s a single coach that needs to meet the requirements and it’s pretty damn tough to find the right coaches for each type of training. Right now I have mostly 6 stars in every department, with only one or two at 7 stars.

   Not a SINGLE coach in my game has Determination + Discipline + Motivation = 50 or more. Most coaches are good (15+) in 2 of these but under 10 in the 3rd criteria. I have also seen that most of the regen youth players are Defender (Center), Defensive Midfielder (Center), Midfielder (Center)[A single player who can play these 3 positions]. I play on steam and thought that my game would be updated with patches automatically but this week I discovered that nothing was updated since my purchase so I just did it manually. i lost 2-3 good coaches cause of the error that did not inform me when my coaches would leave the club even when under contract. This is the time I had 7 star coaches in all fields but struggled since then. I dread the time my current coaches will retire and I can’t find new ones …

   I am in 2022 and my coach stars are as follows

   Manchester United

   Fitness 7
   Aerobic 7
   Goalkeeping 4
   Tactics 6
   Ball Control 6
   Defending 6
   Attacking 7
   Shooting 7
   Set Pieces 7

   I have Van Der Sar as my GK coach and 2 others with 19 or 20 GK rating but still nothing above 4 stars. Phillipe Mexes was giving me 7 stars in defending last season but has gone down to 6 for no reason. I have a cash balance of 400 million pounds but still can’t keep more than 23 coaches and 16 scouts. All coaches teach one discipline only. Around 2011 season all my coaches were 7 stars but after that they fell down and I am struggling to get GK, Defense, Tactics and Ball Control to 7 stars. Brian McClair can coach Ball control to 7 stars but then Set Pieces would fall to 6 stars.

   As an aside my stadium is upgraded to 100,000 capacity but won’t go above that cause of lack of space or municipality issue or something. Can’t 400 million plus some new loan buy me a new stadium?

   Thanks a lot for this blog and I hope the issues I am facing were fixed in the patches but that would mean starting all over again? I am in 2022!!!

     Farrukh, if you have the training stars problem I’d guess you are using patch 9.3.0, the latest one. And as far as I know you don’t have to start a new game after installing a patch.
     Is your stadium sold out for every home match? Because if it is I’m sure they’ll expand it or build a new one sometime.

   I think I mis calculated the stars. I think I need that mod that you put up for the stars.

   All the ones that I said were 7 stars are actually 6. The other three are 5 stars and I fixed keeping with your help and guidance and the guy most suitable as per my searches was Iker Casillas who is now giving my 6 stars GK coaching.

   I just installed the patch this week and before updating the files it told me that my game version was 9.0 I think.

   What is this with low motivation, discipline and determination ratings of coaches? Does a coache’s ratings change? I never paid attention to that. Now I have signed 4 regen coaches who are early 30s in age and have decent M,D and D ratings (10-12) and hoping that they get better.

   My stadium was upgraded to 100,000 starting 2011 season. Since then the average tickets sold is between 92k to 96k with 96,150 in season 2011 being the highest average. 2011 itself was 95,758 average. So 10 years of near full houses hasn’t changed anything. I guess the game must have a stadium capacity cap. My club value is 916 million, loan debt is 510 million (cause of the Glazier takeover I guess). Cash balance is 374 million after spending 72 million in transfers till end August. I get 150 million budget every year and 72 was my record spending just now. Given all this I don’t think a new stadium is coming anytime soon, till maybe the settle more of the debt. I’d prefer the board to take 250m cash and pay off half the loan now to decrease monthly interest payments but no options like that :p

   Thanks for the help. I just hope I find a coach good enough to give me 7 stars at something. Luka Modric is 36, has high determination and is interested in coaching but not a certainity at the moment as he always comments back saying that he wants to concentrate on playing (I hardly play him now). I hope he becomes a good coach for me. I somehow can’t give player/coach contracts to old players like I used to in earlier games. I have to wait for them to retire?

     You can offer player/coach contracts only to those players that are interested in a coach or assistant manager job.
     Seeing you speak about all those hundreds of millions makes me dizzy, I’m worrying about my Blyth Spartans being 1.5 million euro in debt :)
     About the stadium, I don’t think there is a capacity cap. If you will have around 99k for every game I’m sure they’ll expand it.
     Yes coach ratings do change, they evolve like any human being.

   Why I am sure about the cap on stadium is cause the game starts in 2008/09 and the stadium capacity was something like 75k and then by 2011/12 it got increased to 100k in yearly upgrades, so 25k seats increased in 3 years. Since then it has been 10 years a no increases!

   I buy young players and sell them if they are not in the 1st team after 4-5 years. I never used to buy big and hence saved all those millions!
