This FM 2014 player profile of Sebastien Corchia shows one of the best right backs in FM14. His all round game is excellent and he becomes quite expensive. Again screenshots were provided by Bjork, so thanks go to him. During Bjork’s save Corchia lit up Serie A with some stunning performances and fantastic average ratings complimented by a minimum assist rate of 6 a season.
As for development this kid could actually start in your XI from day one, but grows to be one of the best in his position. Good physicals mixed with good mental attributes that boast both determination and work rate in abundance make him a real force. Its hard to find a right back with those attributes that can still defend very well as well as cause his share of problems going forward, but Corchia has it all. A note, future screenshots are from previous patch so not showing Corchia with Lille where he will end up in new saves, his potential is still the same though.

For me Corchia but then again I did have Danilo with Newcastle and he was solid, so just personal preference really and who ever works out cheapest.

Well i bought Corchia for £3.5 mill. after first season. He had turned down 2 or 3 contract offers from sochaux during the season and had 1 year left of the contract.
I’m gonna use him as a back up in the league and starter in the cups (for arsenal) so i hope he’s gonna do well!
Anyway, i came to think. Is there a speciel reason you haven’t done a profile of De bruyne?

Main reason is most people know him and he’s too expensive for my liking at the start of the game due to just signing for Chelsea, no other reason, he looks very good.

Who is better, Corchia or Mayke (Cruzeiro)? Got Mayke on a free transfer with Lorient and at tje end of the first season Corchia was transfer listed at 4M and I didn’t get him…ended up at Anderlecht!!

I’ve an ignorant’s question: it’s the first time i’m playing a football manager game, I’m desperately searching for Corchia but I just can’t find him, same as other players on your lists: it’s my scouting network who isn’t sufficiently expanded?

That will be because you loaded too small of a database. When you first start a new game you select the playable countries and are then taken to a part where you confirm and have some check boxes. In there you need to select a database size of large and we always load England, France, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Argentina as playable. Also worth noting you want ‘enable attribute masking’ unticked to see all the players attributes.

Got him on the cheap at the end of first season for 4M Pound (was unhappy and transfer listed) and he is now keep Glen Johnson out.

I still prefer Peruzzi though because he’s a monster at 21. I bought him during the Jan. window (first season) as a panic buy and he’s displaced both Santon and Corchia in my team just after a few games. He can even operate as a defensive RW.

Corchia is a class act, but the only thing I find annoying about him is that in my game, he very rarely attempts the cross and always tries to find the short pass back to a midfielder instead. Anyone have any tips on how to get him to make the pass/cross ratio more equal besides adding it as a instruction (that seems to stagger his game quite a lot). Works perfectly for Shaw on the left back?

Thats weird, with him been a good crossing and no PPM’s that I’m aware of to make him not cross I don’t know why he’d do that…I would usually suggest its the tactic that is the issue and something should be done there but I assume you have tried with other players to very different effect.
