World Cup Contest Rankings and June 23rd Fixtures

Hello folks, sorry for not posting the results last night but I was so tired that I fell asleep during the final minutes of the Spain vs Honduras game… Spain won the game 2-0 and there were quite a few people that predicted that score. A few hours earlier Chile got one goal past Switzerland and that score was foreseen by no less than six participants. The first game of the day though saw Portugal showing no mercy for poor North Korea, Ronaldo & co fired seven goals past the Asian side and none of our contenders was optimistic enough to indicate the 7-0 scoreline. Now let’s have a look at the contest rankings.

Before the actual rankings there is something that you should know, something quite important too. Yesterday morning I received an email from top of the table contender Lye (he seems to get every result right!). Here’s what he wrote:

Hi Johnny,

There’s still long way to go before the contest ends. Though I am leading the contest but anyone can still catch up with me. However if I would to be the lucky winner, please give the copy of Football Manager 2011 to the next best winner. As a fellow blogger, I just want to join in the fun and support the contest :) It’s just nice to get involved and I think there’s a lot of young readers from your blog who need this FM copy more than me.

The winner may not be me though in the end :)

Warmest regards,
Lye

That’s a very generous attitude for Lye and I’m sure there will be many of you who will wish to thank him for that. Now let’s see the rankings!

Considering Lye’s announcement if the contest would end today Chris @ Chester would receive the prize, a copy of Football Manager 2011! But the contest does not end today, there still are plenty of matches until the World Cup final!
